Stayed 4 nights in Zen Room, which has its own separate entrance as well as a gorgeous view of the lovely gardens and field beyond, from two very large windows. We loved the wood floor (rather than carpet) in that particular room. Very quiet and private. Breakfast in dining room plentiful, with array of cooked-to-order choices, and very fine selection...

Stayed 4-nights in Ayrlington at Bath and was very happy. Large, upscale B& B. This was my second stay at this large home and I was glad to return. Clean spacious room, tv great, comfy beds, wifi, excellent staff, large parlor, breakfast room, bar, large garden/yard. Views of bowling green next door. Quiet. Suites available. Great breakfast choices. It's about...

A small quiet hotel located a pleasant ten minute walk from the city center. The staff was friendly and helpful. A full English breakfast is served in a pleasant dining room. The view from our room (the "Rose"--rooms are named, not numbered) looked out on the flower garden in the back. The hotel is next door to an English bowling...

We stayed for a few days attending a wedding nearby. Excellent location and wonderful cooked breakfasts every day. Exceptional accommodation and very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was situated within walking distance of main attractions and on the Bath tour bus route. A memorable visit to Bath!

My wife and I have stayed at the Ayrlington many times over the years which pretty much says it all. The rooms are all different, a little quirky I guess which we like. We always get a great welcome and the breakfast is excellent. The hotel is a short level walk into Bath centre. We love the route along Great...

We stayed at the Ayrlington to celebrate my wife's birthday. The room we were given (Empire) was truly exceptional - a good size, fantastically furnished in a neo classical way, with the bathroom very much equipped with 21 century gear - so it was a very nice mix. The breakfast was exquisite, in both quality and service. The selection of...

Conveniently situated about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bath, the hotel offers very comfortable and attractive rooms with all mod cons! We had a spacious garden view room ('Abbey') which looks out over the lawn to trees and croquet lawn n rugby field beyond (but no Abbey view!). Breakfast was generous, tastefully served and delicious, and service was...

My husband treated me to a weekend in Bath staying at The Ayrlington. We were welcomed by David and from that moment on until we left everyone made us feel special. The hotel has been renovated to an exceptional high standard and the rooms were perfect. Every room is different, with every need met. Every interaction with a member of...

The Hotel is in a good location for central Bath and has its own car parking on site which is a big plus in Bath. The Ayrlington is a very clean and comfortable hotel with ever attentive staff supported by the Manager David who works very hard to keep the standards. In summary its a good hotel in a good...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built of golden Bath stone, The Ayrlington is a large and handsome English Heritage listed building set in a splendid walled oriental garden with exceptional views of the City and its medieval Abbey. Bath's magnificent historic sites, speciality shops and excellent restaurants are all just a five minutes level stroll away. The Ayrlington's elegant and tranquil interior is a graceful blend of English and Asian antiques, artwork, fine fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedlinen - all 18 bedrooms have an individual theme and are beautifully furnished, some with four poster beds. The emphasis is on creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the centre of Bath's vibrant city centre. The Ayrlington has a licensed residents' bar, secure on-site private parking and is entirely non smoking. We do not accept children under 5 years of age. The Ayrlington's ongoing commitment to quality has brought some well deserved and hard earned awards - five stars from The AA and Visit Britain, AA Premier Collection, a listing in The Good Hotel Guide and multiple Bath in Bloom garden awards. ... more   less
