Good position about 10 minutes walk from centre of Bath. Its on the Wellsway which is a busy road but set back so not noisy. Easy walk downhill to station, bus station, centre of town. Also bus stops just outside the hotel so easy access. Car parking too which is worth its weight in gold in Bath! Comfortable rooms and...

Just back from a 2 night stay at Highways House with a group of friends. The B&B is in a great location just 10 minutes from the main shopping area. Great hospitality with a warm welcome and great breakfasts!

A very enjoyable 2 night stay. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to the City, allow 10 minutes to the Roman Baths, down a 'steepish' hill, don't be put off, I'm 59 and it was no problem. The accomodation itself is very comfortable and our double-bedded room with en-suite shower was fine for 2-3 nights. The breakfast was really excellent,...

Our welcome was warm by Victoria who kindly gave us a map with important points of interest marked. Breakfast was lovely - we tried the rustic porridge which was just delicious. Serving staff were just delightful. Our room was cosy with a tiny ensuite. The bed needs replacing - mattress was very uncomfortable. Fittings have seen better days. With some...

We stayed here for one night, while we visited Bath. We received a warm welcome and stayed in a self-contained double room with ensuite shower/bathroom. Free wifi, TV and all the essentials - tea/coffee, water, toiletries. Clean and comfy. We had a lovely breakfast, cereals and continental available, but we had a full English all cooked fresh to order. Would...

The location and staff are the real gems about this bed and breakfast. Only 5 or 10 minutes walk downhill and your right in the thick of it. The hill on the way back is a slight stretch but nothing that steep really. Staff very welcoming and took time to explain everything and even marked out on a map so...

Very pleasant stay, the whole house and the room was clean and comfortable. I liked the small touches like offer of a night cap before bed and bottled water in the room. The only thing is that the house is up the hill, so we were taking busses to take us to there as we are lazy, but on the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Highways House, built in 1874, is a 5 room (all en suite) guest house. We are ten minutes walk into the city centre (Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, etc) and the return journey is a little uphill towards the end. We are on a main bus & cab route, and well away from the city centre's noisy pubs and clubs that are so busy at weekends. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and friendliness. ... more   less
