The best thing about this hotel was the staff, the are very hard working and always smile and try to be helpful. The property was understandly old but that does not excuse not keeping it in good working order. The paint was peeling, there were nail holes left from what I assume was a picture, and the rug needed replacement....

Visited with Shearings on a Monday to Friday trip. Lovely old hotel, fantastic staff and quality food. Normally would try a couple of local restaurants, but on this occasion really not necessary, as the evening meals were excellent. Booked a superior room with a shared balconette, which had a great view over the city. Hill down to the city centre...

I recently stayed in the Lansdown grove hotel on a mini break to Bath in early JULY. The staff at the hotel were marvellous, friendly, helpful and very efficient. The hotel failed to live up to my expectations for the following reasons. The rooms, whilst being clean, were badly in need of refurbishment and redecorating. The room felt to be...

Lovely old world hotel. The staff were so friendly. The hotel is old, but clean. Our room was huge, beds very comfortable, bathroom large with a tub and great hot water pressure. The French doors opened out onto a charming garden where there were tables and chairs to sit at. The breakfast was lovely. Even though it was a bit...
