Wonderful hotel, great caring staff, no problem is unfixable. The food is very good, and even if it is in the Shearings group of hotels it's standards are first the customer is always right and they do every thing to make this true. From the person who does your room, to the person serving you dinner, to the reception staff...

My wife and I arrived by coach on a 5 day/4 night break. The hotel is ideally situated to catch the park and ride into city centre. The hotel is very well run, clean and tidy and the service in the restaurant was top class. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, we seriously recommend a visit to this hotel."Thank...

We visited The Lansdown Grove Hotel in Bath recently , arriving on Friday March 10 and departing on Sunday March 12th. I booked this hotel from the recommendations and reviews on Trip Advisor as it was our wedding anniversary. Car parking - when I booked the hotel, I was offered to pay for a reserved bay at £5.00 per day,...

Thank you for your review I am sorry that you found the car-parking expensive at £8.00 per night, I can assure you this is in-keeping with the area. Car parking is offered at the time of booking or you can take the risk of booking on arrival, however spaces cannot be guaranteed if you do this, on this occasion it...

For a very reasonably priced 3 star hotel we had a 5 star weekend, the staff are all very friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We had a gorgeous view over Bath and the surrounding countryside too. Thoroughly recommended. Oh and Zoltan the barman is brilliant

Booked as part of a Coast and Country Hotel weekend package. I traveled to Bath Spa Station from London by train and then used the 31 Park and Ride bus to the hotel which at the top of Lansdown Road is up a hill so a sensible option with luggage. Because of its edge of town location there were no...

We had a Monday to Friday break during Valentines week with Shearings. Excellent value for what we paid. Our room on 3rd floor was very good, recently decorated, lovely warm bathroom, the cleanliness was superb, comfy bed and lovely fluffy towels, the reason I didn't give 5 stars was because our friends in room next door had a very cold bathroom...

Just home from staying at this hotel for three days. We booked an Ambassador room on Booking.com and we were not disappointed. Nice comfortable bed, lots of space, windows we could open and a lovely warm bathroom. The staff in the hotel are really friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good and generous and I...

The hotel itself is a little dated, although our stay was pleasant. The room we had was of generous size with an equally fair sized bathroom. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to the city which is great! The way there is downhill so it's a bit of a climb back but not too horrendous! We had the...
