Stayed at Dukes for three nights in a Superior Double room whilst visiting Bath. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, the room was fantastic, and it's super convenient for anything in Bath. The breakfasts are cooked to order and the food is top notch: quality ingredients and very well prepared (and they have tabasco sauce, so 10/10). Thoroughly...

From the moment we stepped into Dukes, we were cared for and welcomed, in a non intrusive way. There were a million kind and generous things, like a temp. parking permit, fresh Madlines for breakfast, a friendly 'goodnight', a small morning chat at the breakfast tabel, a few chocolates in a bag for our journey homewards. The building is an...

A great benefit of living in Holland is that you have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful home country and delight in visiting the wonders of Bath!! Thank you. With the World Heritage City of Bath as our backdrop we look to enhance the stay of each of our guests. We encourage guests to feel as though they are visiting...

The standout positives: the brilliant staff, comfy bed and location in Bath. We booked the "Cozy Double" room and it is 'as advertised'; quite small. What you would also need to know is that these rooms are in the rooftop. So is 6 flights of stairs to the cheaper rooms and don't get much of a view. We had problems...

Thank you. We offer 17 unique rooms ranging from spacious ‘wow factor’ four posters through to the ‘Abercorn’ detailed in the last guest review, located on the ground floor. The location of the rooms is higgledy-piggledy across the two Grade 1 listed Georgian properties and the room rate is dictated by square footage. We endeavour, on our website and over...

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Dukes Hotel over Easter weekend for a short but sweet sightseeing tour of Bath. For this purpose, it couldn't be better located, just 5 minutes walk from the city centre shops, restaurants and historical attractions, and only a little further to the Royal Crescent and park. We stayed in the Abercorn room on...

Delighted that you found us to be a ‘brilliantly located’ property. Great Pulteney Street is arguably the finest example of a Georgian boulevard in Northern Europe. A leisurely stroll into the City is indeed majestic and a superb prelude to the wonders of Bath. For breakfast we source terrific award winning ingredients and seek to prepare them with care and...

Five of us (a family group) stayed here in three rooms to visit Bath as part of our son's 21st birthday celebration. We stayed for two nights. Firstly the location - a 10 minute walk to the centre of Bath and all of the attractions. The building, which is on Great Pulteney Street, is graceful and makes you feel that...

We stayed Fri-Sun recently, in the Beaufort Room and absolutely loved it. Everything was great. Met upon arrival by the owner Carole who we happily found to be very worth listening to, as all her advice was always on point!! With highly prized parking permit in place, the car didn't move all weekend. A short stroll along a very lovely...

We chose this hotel based on the reviews and did not disappoint. We are on the second floor which is 4 flights of stairs. The room is very clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. Lovely large soft towels and the gowns are luxurious. The breakfast has a wide selection. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, omelette and full cooked breakfast. The...

Really great hotel. Attention paid to the smallest of details. Staff were great, the room spot on, the comfort of the bed was the best we ever slept in. Special thanks to the proprietress made our stay even better, many thanks for the bubbly. Breakfast was fantastic, with multiple choices. Hope to stay again.

Stayed for two nights last weekend and was very impressed with the location (10 minute walk to town) the customer service and breakfast in this hotel. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable with a well stocked tray of tea, coffee biscuits etc. and a couple of bottles of water. As you note we are fortunate to be in a ‘goldilocks’ location. Away from the disturbance of late night City revellers, though a mere 5 minute level stroll from the heart of the City. I am delighted that you found breakfast delicious and your room ‘very comfortable’ and well stocked with all that you would wish for. Given that the...

The hotel is located more or less equidistant between Sydney Gardens and Pulteney Bridge, about 20 minutes walk from the train station. Our deluxe double had a separate living room with lovely period chairs; staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive, and the price of the room includes access to the Bath Rewards scheme, which gives discounts on various attractions...

Thank you. We welcome ‘quibbles’ as a route to improving our game! As you may appreciate we endeavour to cater for a great breadth of individual requirements. At different times, we have called on Penhaligon, Flores and toyed with Moulton Brown as toiletry options, you may have noticed the Duck Island product that we use in the communal areas. Very...
