As if they knew we were driving down the road. Looking a little lost we were welcomed on the Road outside the Hotel. Bags taken, car looked after and welcomed by name. After a quick tour of this outstanding property we were shown our suite. On par with The Savoy, London, albeit a different experience. Outstanding service, all staff knew... More

If you like being spoilt this is the place to come. The Hotel is in a great location and you would not know that it is there unless you know it's exact address and the doormen come running towards you when you park your car. Try their afternoon teas as that are worth having once in your life time. Oh... More

What a pleasant surprise, the new lunch/afternoon tea menu is a great twist on your normal everyday offering. We had the Duke of York Afternoon Tea and our wives had the Royal Afternoon Tea, this is where savoury meets sweet combining to give you mouth watering options and fantastic flavours. I suggest you do what we did, go the extra... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here - nothing too fancy for us, some club sandwiches and the odd burger for our party of four. But the setting was just spectacular, everything feels incredibly luxurious, and well thought out so it felt like quite a special experience indeed. The food was excellent (although they charged for everything, including extra mayo!), drinks... More

Classically designed hotel in such a wonderful location, a must for all architectural types! Staff were extremely well trained, polite and engaging. The room, well the suite, was really nicely furnished and laid out, bedroom, bathroom as you would expect and a dressing area and separate lounge overlooking the well planned and tended gardens. Restaurant was excellent, absolutely first class,... More

We came for my birthday and my husband asked if they could make it special. Nothing different happened. We were put in a fairly mediocre room at the back by a road - to be fair, the decor was very Farrow & Ball which I liked. The hotel itself was a little odd - the reception staff insisted on doing... Thank you for your review. We are surprised at your comments as these do not reflect your views when asked on your departure if you enjoyed your stay. With regard to the parking, you parked your own car and did not give Concierge the keys so they knew nothing about this.I f they had been aware they would have placed... More

We are only half way through our stay, but already uber-impressed. Great room (Nelson suite) meal last night was great, possibly a little bit over-attentive, but that's being very picky. Good wine (red Stellenbosch, not too expensive either). Breakfast was I think the best I can remember, and I am very fussy. Lovely fruit salad, a few different fruits and... More

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and sits on a hill above Bath. It is a crescent shaped row of 30 houses, 4 of which make up the hotel. Rooms are very well-appointed, staff is second to none. The English breakfast was delicious. A lovely stay.

What an amazing building & grounds. The decor is very pleasant but probably the best bit was the breakfast - the most delicious I have ever had!! I beg to differ with the hotel response to my previous entry regarding the spartan suite - there were NO FLOWERS or FRUIT in the suite!!! It was bare and unwelcoming.
