This is a good hotel with lovely rooms and attentive staff. Our experience was spoiled by a really poor breakfast. This is served in the Michelin-starred restaurant below the hotel which makes it all the more surprising - poor quality coffee and fruit juice as often the tell tale signs. One of us had an ok cooked breakfast but a cold plate of cheese and charcuterie was desperately disappointing. I recognise that, from the management point of view, complaining in a review without having done so in person is irritating: but debating the merits of a meal when leaving a hotel simply makes the experience worse. One final minor complaint: the bill presented included an optional 5% service charge added on. This forces customers to refuse to pay it, which makes them feel mean - but it isn't the way hotel bills are calculated in the UK. It is common to leave a tip for the room cleaning staff for longer stays, but the room rate is the room rate. We shouldn't be made to feel bad for not paying a service charge.

This hotel is outstanding.we arrived at noon, and our valet parking worked like a dream; our room was ready early, and we had been upgraded. The service, quality of everything , and total experience was second to none. We will be rebooking to visit again soon .

From check in to check out the service was impeccable. We booked a single night bed and breakfast with parking. No sooner had we pulled up outside than the general manger had come out to greet us, take out lug and car keys. We sat in the lounge and had a coffee (which is free all day along with tea) while we checked in which was merely to sign our checking in sheet and give our car registration number. By the time we had finished our coffee our baggage was in the room. Our room was upgraded to a master deluxe and was room 26 which is the newest section of the hotel. The bedroom and bathroom our decorated to the highest standard and the quality of fittings and finishes is top notch. Room service was very quick and nothing was too much bother, whether it was an ice bucket or iron and ironing board. My only niggle would have been with the shower. in what is otherwise a beautifully appoint bathroom, is of the open time with no door and there is no way to avoid flooding the floor even if it was only a 5 minute shower. The bedroom is spacious with plenty of storage and shelf space and even though as is with standard with Bath the windows are single glazed sash windows thankfully the street is very quiet and we both had a wonderful night’s sleep. Your breakfast slot is booked the night before so as to avoid everybody turning up at the same time. The selection of cooked, cereal, porridge, fruit, toast, teas and coffee were faultless, great start to the day. All in all, a wonderful experience and it is obvious that the senior staff are very very good and that their experience on what customers expect has been passed on. We can't wait to return and will make sure our stay longer the next time.

We had an amazing stay. We were upgraded which was lovely. Staff were friendly and the room was beautiful and spotless. Breakfast was superb and the service excellent. Highly recommend a stay here. The bar area is stunning and even has an outside seating terrace which must be lovely in summer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the queensberry. The staff were all lovely and the ability to drop your car and bags off early was great. (Valet parking £25). Pros. - The bed was extremely comfortable and the bath was fantastic. - Lovely views from the rooms. - Great staff Cons: - No tea or coffee facilities in the room. - Breakfast was so so with a strange monetary value allowance rather than just breakfast included. 5% discretionary service charge on total bill slightly awkward especially if you have been tipping as you go. These oddities wouldn’t put us off coming back again though. A lovely hotel.

An excellent stay My mother and daughter travelled together for a treat to Bath. We booked directly with the hotel, who were more than happy to select a room to suit their access needs and other requirements. All emails were answered promptly and accommodatingly. The room and the food were excellent, and most importantly, my mum and daughter were both made to feel special without being patronised. They commented in particular on the front of house staff, who seemed to anticipate everything they needed before they were even asked. My daughter gives it ‘5 stars’ for ‘amazing food, beautiful bedrooms, and everything was great’.

Very comfortable beds and rooms. Good bathrooms. Plenty of heating and lighting. Quiet, central location. Excellent, professional staff. Lots of stairs! Breakfast OK but filter coffee was "nasty". Have used the restaurant - The Olive Tree - before. Fine for breakfast but ambiance is just not good for a Michelin starred resto.. Needs restyled to be a more warm, comfortable, inviting space.

Beautifully designed hotel, every element considered. Expensive, but worth every penny. Staff were friendly too. Just a lovely experience. Didn't eat the food or use the bar, so no comment on them. Only gripe would be that no-matter how luxury a hotel is, I still like a kettle in the room for a cup of tea! I don't want the hassle of going downstairs, even if the coffee is fresh.

It's the second time my wife and I have stayed at The Queensberry - it is a superb little hotel. The rooms are amazing, the staff are excellent, and the place is beautifully charismatic. Every detail is spot on and we will certainly be visiting again - love it here.
