Had a lovely welcome from the staff. We stayed in the garden room with en suite. They had the heater on for us on arrival has it was a bit chilly. The room is so quirky it was beautiful. Towels are provided with dressing gowns. The bed was so comfortable. You have a TV and radio. There's tea and coffee.... More

My friend and I had the mid week deal. We were looked after above and beyond what we expected. The welcome from Nigel was warm despite us being 3 hrs earlier than check in. Simon helped us with our bags to our cabins - excellent service! The food was on par with any other top restaurant. I highly recommend the... More

Abels Harp is one of the best places I have ever stayed. It was the welcome and service we received from staff which truly made our two nights glamping such a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible, We... More

Booked a three night stay through Groupon to do glamping with breakfast. We stayed in a camping shed. Staff are lovely they will accommodate you where they can. My recommendation for staying in one of these huts is bring with you a quilt (it's winter you will need it) hot water bottle, bring with you or ask for a fan... More

I bought this for my husband for his birthday and we booked it for our anniversary. Before booking it we thought OMG we are mad wanting to go Glamping in November. Once we arrived we were greeted by Simon and his son we believe, we were made very welcome and shown around the hotel and explained about the pods outside... More

Stayed on 14th Nov and considering it was a cold night the heater in the glamping hut worked great and was warm all night ! I think we may have been allocated wrong hut tho as we didn't have any towels, water or breakfast menu where as all other huts did. However staff were more than helpful and provided what... More

This place was so tranquil. Half an hour from Shrewsbury. Tucked away up the country lanes overlooking beautiful hills. We stayed in the Glamping accommodation, ' a bed in a shed!' It was so peaceful & cosy. Basic but perfect for our needs. A little trot down the lane to the main building for showers & toilets. The facilities were... More

Found this place on Groupon looking for an outdoor/log cabin type getaway for a night for me and my other half. This place sounded great, especially as most other places I found wouldn't let you book for just one night. Phoned up and got a better rate than Groupon, so happy days, make sure you give them a call!! Cwts... More

Just returned from using a voucher for the glamping huts and wow I fell in love with Able's Harp. The main hotel is the cutest vintage place I've probably ever seen. There's something to look at in every room... including the yard area. The manager and a lovely girl behind the bar looked after us and we've never felt more... More

This place is so beautiful! me and my boyfriend went as part of a groupon voucher for a glamping experience for just £50 including breakfast - it was an absolute bargain for what we received. The glamping area is located on top of a hill from where abels harp (main hotel/building) is situated. Our little pod had a 'treasure' theme... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abel's Harp is a small vintage style hotel and licensed wedding venue set in five acres of beautiful Shropshire countryside. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with fantastic views. All rooms are en-suite and individually themed. There is an on site restaurant, bar and gallery. It is a relaxed and quirky hotel and is an excellent place to stay if you want to visit Welsh Pool, Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Church Stretton, Powys Castle or to walk The Stiperstones or Long Mynd. We also specialise in bespoke weddings particularly in vintage, festival and country style weddings where parties can benefit from the land, views and creativity of the hotels design. We have two licensed ceremony areas one inside and one outside in our courtyard garden. Our food is a mix of dishes with a quirky twist, we like to think we have something on our menu for everyone. Our afternoon tea is also a real treat with its hand-made cake pops and Alice in Wonderland themed biscuits, a mix of finger sandwiches and scones and a variety of cakes. We really want all of our guests to have a great time and appreciate the time and effort of those who have given us feedback on Trip Advisor, we are proud to have a certificate of excellence. ... more   less
