Our first high tea- the tranquil surroundings are a bonus to this gem. The service was faultless. The savoury sandwiches were well presented and very tasty. The scones (plain & fruited) are served warm with plenty of clotted cream and compote. The sweets were nice, perhaps the brownie was a little too rich but a great experience altogether.

Lovely room, it would easy to go down the chintz route, but the hotel is modern inside with lovely quirky touches. Very comfortable bed, huge bath and walk in shower. We stayed in for dinner, which was fabulous as you'd expect from a chef who competed in Great British dinners. Lots of little extra courses thrown in. We came to...

We had an upgraded room - large with a walk in shower and bathroom in the ensuite. Call down to get fresh milk or cream to go with the coffee from a fancy machine, and they bring up home made cookies. The hotel is a five minute drive into Ludlow but is in the countryside. We had countryside views and...

We stayed two nights on a special offer that provided excellent value for money. Our room was large, well appointed and decorated to a high standard with good views across the fields. The shower was large although if I was nit picking I would have preferred a bath. The hotel is located in a quiet rural setting but close enough...

We had a good time at Fishmore Hall. The staff were all helpful and the treatments in the new spa were lovely. We made full use of the outdoor hot tub and indoor sauna and steam rooms. We stayed in room 7 which is a beautiful large room with the bath in the same space as the bed. The toilet...

The food was delicious, the waiting staff attentive and we had a wonderful evening in this lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend. We had the three course dinner which was fabulous with extra amuse bouche between courses. Would like to try the tasting menu next time.

The food is fantastic, with lots of little treaty extra courses between the main ones. Even the standard three course option is more like 6 courses really. They have the full-on tasting menu too. The staff, mostly from Latvia it seems, are absolutely brilliant - really attentive, polite and knowledgeable. The Spa is an interesting design - a factory-built thing...

We went on a Travelzoo deal. What superb value. We were upgraded as I wanted a room with a bathroom, it wasn't a problem. Six course tasting menu, turned in to eight courses. The excellent chef added canapes and an amuse bouche, both superb, as was the following six courses. Knowledgeable chose of ingredients, and wonderfully presented. Our room was decorated...
