This was our second stay and the standard was just as good. This time we stayed in the Mortimer room which was superb, very spacious with settee and 2 armchairs and a large en suite, with views across to the castle. The breakfasts were excellent, using local produce. We have previously stayed in the French room which was equally comfortable...

We stayed one night and booked based on TA recommendations. Whitfield House is just on the edge of town but in a beautiful location. The views from our room were spectacular and the accommodation clean and comfortable. The owner and staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our breakfast and also stay immensely. We definitely plan to stay again.

Sadly, my stay was for one night only and for work however I will definitely be returning with hubby. Whitfield house has everything and more than you could ask for in a B n B.. Superb room with views to castle and fields, huge bed with squishy pillows, large bathroom with glorious heated towels. The furniture through the house including...

An impromptu night away. Quiet location but just a short walk to town. Fabulous house. Comfortable room with brilliant shower room. Everything you could wish for in the room. Cracking breakfast and the staff could not have been more helpful. In all, just wonderful.

Splendid location and a short walk into town. Amazing views from the room. Yummy breakfast. The hot water was way too hot and there was somewhat unnecessary room heating in the morning. A standard (rather than waterfall type) shower would better suit people who don't want to get drenched, including their hair. The magic (motion-sensitive) bathroom lighting was confusing and...

We stayed at this B&B with another couple, based on a recommendation from friends, plus the great reviews on TripAdvisor, and we were not disappointed. This is a lovely 1920s house with large comfortable rooms and superb views. There are lots of welcome extra touches, such as real milk, lots of biscuits, chocolate and a great range of teas and...

The house is in a great location just 15 mins from Ludlow town centre. Whilst initial reaction was very favourable it became obvious that the housekeeping and maintenance had somewhat slipped. So much could have been achieved with a duster and a paintbrush in half an hour. Felt as if the hosts attention had moved on to their next project....

A warm welcome from Andrew along with fresh pot of tea and excellent advice on exploring Ludlow - an easy walk away. The Mortimer room has spectacular views from the large bay window, thoroughly enjoyed from the easy chairs / sofa. Everything very comfortable, very clean and quiet. A superb breakfast cooked by Sheila in the morning in a lovely...

I recommend this place highly. The surroundings are beautiful and the Whitfield is really lovely. My room was grand, the bed was extremely comfortable and breakfasts lovely. What made it a little bit special for me were the little touches - a jar of coffee and a bar of chocolate in the room, luxurious towels and a fridge on the...
