Overnight in Ironbridge, went checking out where we would dine. Called in and ordered a couple of drinks at extortionate prices, and checked the place out. Bar staff were friendly enough but the place looked more like a curry house than a pub/bar/Restaurant, it was all decked out in red, and lacked atmsophere.

This is a very welcoming and thoroughly satisfying stop for a quick dose of traditional comfort food. Lunchtime was quite busy and the food was hitting the tables at an impressive rate. The service was courteous and warm, and not too intrusive. I'd return here anytime for a good, filling and satisfying lunch

If you're looking for something a little more exciting than magnolia walls and pictures of landscapes you'll love this place. The rooms are fun, individual and comfortable with some lovely little twists. Ours had a free standing bath in the bedroom. There's entertainment on at the weekends; we saw two good cover bands when we stayed. The stafff are friendly...

We booked a room last minute as we had builders installing central heating in our house and were sick of being cold. The hotel was awesome. The room (Jade Room) was very rock n roll and so wonderfully warm. It was a Friday night and the room was above the bar where there was a band and loud music. It...

Very friendly staff, rooms are a bit wacky, but quality is good. As long as you don't mind a bit of crocodile wall paper then you will be fine. Food in the bar is a good pub standard and the snacks menu is definitely worth a look. Beer changes regular enough and seems to be kept in a pretty good...

We stayed for two nights in February 2017 in the 'Penthouse Suite', a split level space with plenty of room (and privacy) for us and our two children to relax and, if we wanted to, cook. Eclectic decor with nods to punk and glam. Nice views of the gorge and a glimpse of the famous bridge. We ate twice in...

Visited on the spur of the moment for a quick lunch whilst in Ironbridge. I had a pint of Jennings Cumberland which was wonderful and the highlight of our visit. Then we got our food, my daughter had grilled haloumi baguette which came with a salad garnish and tortilla chips, I had steak and mushroom melt baguette also with salad...

I called in for lunch with a friend in a wheelchair as he is an amputee. On arrival I was told the access was via two steep steps, The gents toilet was again up steps. The barman helped us up but there was no room to manoeuvre the wheelchair. My friend had to stand and hop in the best he...

I was treated to a meal at the Malthouse for my birthday. The fare was plentiful and of good quality and reasonably priced. Pleasantly located on the Wharfage by the side of the Severn the premises were clean and welcoming. The only drawback was that immediate parking was limited.

We had first visited the Malthouse for food a couple of years ago whilst staying at another B&B in the area and were favourably impressed. This most recent visit was our first opportunity to sample the establishment's accommodation in addition to their food. I must say that we were unprepared for the level of room quality for the very modest...
