This was a property probably built as the home of a Victorian captain of industry and the upstairs rooms that comprise the hotel area have the space and elegance that one would associate with such comfort. The mod cons are all there too - so you have the best of both worlds. It is in one of the better residential...

Stayed for a couple of nights whilst visiting the area to see Micky Flanagan. The staff were friendly and Miguel showed us to our room and was helpful. Our double room "Angus" at the top of the building was very nice and being up two flights of stairs meant it was nice and quiet. The room was a good size...

Very pleasant time spent. Lovely quirky building with different size and shaped rooms. Very clean and creative decor-loved the prints on the walls and the overall appearance of the restaurant/breakfast area. Had the continental breakfast which was included in the room price-the fresh hot croissants are worth going back for by themselves! Like the offer of 20% discount for cooked...

My son was due to have a op at the hospital across the road really early in the morning. This hotel is boutique and unusual and the attention to detail is wonderful. The owner/manger whom greeted us was kind and helpful and very handsome. Food was great, room was huge and immaculate with all the trimmings. We will return.

The food is OK. There's a fairly large pizza menu so it's obviously a large-ish part of what they do, but the pizza's aren't all that big and were fairly burnt on the bases. Chocolate brownie desert was delicious!

We stayed in "Hereford" room for one night which is in the main part of the building, to the rear. We had lunch of a stone baked pizza which was fab. I was disappointed to see on both check in and check out that all my personal details were left out for all to see. Our room was modern and...

We booked for a large table late lunch on Christmas Eve and although the place had a tree and some decorations the table was completely bare. We had children in the group and it was such a shame they couldn't make the effort. The menu is extremely limited and nothing for vegetarians! Service is very slow and non of the...

I would have given this stay five stars, if it wasn't for the breakfast part of what we experienced. The actual room I stayed in was a suite - gorgeous. Quirky. Comfortable - if a little dark. Perhaps more choice of lighting in the room. And - make-up mirror definitely not fit for purpose. It is very bright and above...

Only stayed at the Florentine for one night. The location is set away in a quiet location. The room we stayed in was nice with a great theme to it, bright and airy and pretty large. The staff were friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast included in the price of the room is continental, if you want cooked breakfast then you...

We came here for a family lunch and asked to be seated in one of the rooms to the side of the main eating area as we had a small child who likes to roam! They gave us a lovely room. Looked after us exceptionally well and the food was great! We couldn't fault it! Excellent service and food we...
