Second time we have been and I'm always dubious about second times as they generally never live up to expectations. However from start to finish I couldn't fault it. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the rooms gorgeous, the food amazing and the cocktails!! A perfect getaway where nice food, nice drinks and relaxing times are a must. Will...

We stayed for one night on a DBB deal and had a lovely time. The hotel is in a great countryside location and our room was perfect. Very clean, nicely decorated with a modern bathroom, bath and walk in shower. Don't always get a bath and a separate shower so that was a nice extra. The restaurant was very comfortable...

Lovely venue for a wedding, visited with friends. Lovely food, however small function room and seemed to be really hot so spent most of the night outside! Great photo opportunities though, with peacocks too!

We arrived at the hotel around 4.30. Booked in very quickly. Room lovely with a really nice view and a couple of visitors - peacocks outside of our patio doors. Very sweet. Beautiful grounds but due to the weather we could not take much of this in. Very polite staff. Overall really nice stay. Would recommend to friends and family.

Stayed for one night while working in Sheffield, but took advantage of the opportunity and took my other half with me. Beautiful historic building in lively grounds. Fantastic staff who are helpful and friendly and make you feel really welcome. The food is amazing and, if you can get a special DB&B rate, it is incredibly good value. The building...

Lovely old Country House Hotel in lovely quiet setting. Our room was excellent very cosy. The Breakfast was very good with Buffet and cooked food and the evening meals were beautifully prepared and cooked and varied and that together with friendly efficient staff made it a joy to stay there. Highly recommended.

Don't get me wrong, this place is usually very good, but you often judge how good a place is by how they deal with things that go wrong. The massive positives are the venue itself and the friendliness of the staff. The food is good, but perhaps a little expensive for what it is, but I suppose in part you...

I woke up at 2 AM of the shower starting to drip. They couldn't fix so I got another room. I was expecting an apology or possibly some compensation but when I checked out there was complete silence. I expected more.
