Some work colleagues and I stayed here. The obvious highlight is the beautiful setting by the lake. The building was partially damaged by fire some time ago. The staff are very friendly and the bar/restaurant area is lovely as you can sit and watch the lake. Nice breakfast, plenty of parking, very big rooms and It oozes potential, but needs...

Spent one night here for work. I usually try not to write very negative reviews, but there was such a dissonance between the price and the value / quality. The hotel was 110 GBP / night !!!! So, the good things - the hotel is on a pretty lake and it is very quiet and pastoral. The main not-so-good things...

Nicely located but looking very faded. Could do with a really deep clean and a lick of paint. The bathroom tap self destructed when turned, the balcony/patio was a haven of weeds but at least the wildlife was interesting (see pic. Mink on the balcony outside the dining room).

Myself and my partner decided that we would pop and see for ourselves why the reviews were so poor. We were going to say there last month but I cancelled after reading the reviews. We all know that reviews can be misleading until you see it for yourself and we were shocked and disappointed. We decided that we would stop...

Ok, so i hadn't read any reviews before we booked and only read them on approach to the hotel, needless to say i became very worried! However once we got out of the unlit car park and into the entrance of the hotel it was warm and welcoming. The hotel could do with a cash injection for some modernisatio, even...

This place is disgusting. From dirty bed sheets to hair in bath. Dirty shower curtains and sink. Horrible smell also. Hotel manager not even bothered. Didn't end up staying there as this place is just shocking. Would avoid this place at all costs

The only good thing I have to say about this hotel was the helpful barman and well cooked breakfast,,, Other than that it's the Marie Celeste of hotels,,,one half has burnt down!!!! A soulless and depressing experience!
