Good breakfast, especially the Lebanese breakfast with excellent hummus. Major attractions, university, bus and train stations all within walking distance. Refrigerator and electric kettle in room. Run down, dilapidated. Mattress was thin, uncomfortable on hard plywood platform. Dust on nightstand. Hat found behind the bed, presumably left by previous visitor and not found by housekeeping. Ladder permanently stored in stairwell....

Frankly this Hotel was the worse hotel I've ever stayed in, in my entire time of living. Despite it being very easily accessible to the city center, it was legit the hotel from hell. Firstly the man who welcomed us at the front desk was rude, and when we asked to pay over the phone he was very aggressive about...

I really enjoyed my stay here! Reasonable price and helpful staff, the hotel is a 5 minutes walk into the city centre and it is in jericho which is a lovely part of oxford with trendy bars and restaurants

Positives - Excellent location, reasonably clean, well priced compared to other hotels in the area, good sized room, fridge in room. Negatives - still quite expensive for what it is, reception not open all that much, slightly odd furniture/artwork. We had a problem with a small window with no curtain that let an incredible amount of light in, shining directly...

I only found The Richmond via a recommendation from a friend, and I am very grateful! The Richmond is a lovely hotel, in a great location, which is *very*-reasonably priced (given the exorbitant prices for hotels in Oxford). It is certainly *far* better than the compatibly-priced AirBnB locations I found. The location was within walking distance of Market Street (about...

This is an eccentric hotel with an owner who is obviously keen on DIY and plywood! Our room was large but the ensuite was a home made plywood cubicle, with poor ventilation and a bad mould problem. The sheets and towels were clean but the carpets and decor are old and look grubby. We were asked for our passports on...

We travel very often and oxford is one of our favourite places. We stayed in this hotel for the first time but were very impressed. Very friendly staff nice to talk to. Room that we were was very tastefully made. All in all it was very good experience and we will be back!

We stay here several times a year when visiting relatives in Oxford and love it for its homey cosey feel. Prices are very reasonable indeed for the centre of Oxford. The Richmond is, as far as I understand, designed more for the budget visitor and provides perfectly for this, with nice touches like a full size fridge in your room....

The Richmond is a lovely place. I lived in Oxford for three years while I was a student and have returned three times within the last month to use the university libraries. I tried two other hotels before the Richmond and neither matched this hotel's quality, location and price. My room was spacious and warm, with hot water and a...

This hotel is a little treasure - one of those places one must try directly to realise how nice they are. But still, let me attempt a description of some of its most pleasant features. It offers good quality, very clean and quiet rooms; excellent value for money; a lovely atmosphere at breakfast, which is served in a bright, peaceful...
