We had two rooms, one decently sized, the other a little small. Prices are average for Oxford, where accommodations are at a premium. As soon as we walked in, I noticed a strange smell that I still cannot identify. It persisted in all public areas during our stay. It was vaguely offputting, enough that I would not return. Note that...

What a find !! After staying near Oxford last year , visiting our son , we were disappointed with the b & bs and the hotel prices can be extortionate . The remont has been a real pleasure to stay in, the price is very reasonable and a10 minute bus ride gets you straight into the city centre, with regular...

Having stayed at The Remont 4 years ago and been impressed with it; on returning to Oxford this summer we decided to make a return visit. On this occasion we stayed in a superior room which had a fabulously comfy super king size bed, sofa, complimentary Blenheim Palace water along with tea / coffee and biscuits. The en suite was...

This was an amazing stay, the staff were really attentive and the breakfast was amazing. I really loved this because, well the rooms were pristine and neat. So glad I stayed here, this trip was amazing and the rooms were miraculous

We stayed here for one night, because we were 3 we got the attic room number 20. It was spacious, but the you had to mind your head with the shower and on the left side of the bed. Because of the attic and it was a warm week, it was very hot in the room. The only AC they...

I was looking at hotels in the centre for an overnight visit but was swayed by the good reviews here to stay at the Remont - and I'm very glad I did. I opted for a superior double as it offered a super king sized bed. Our room (24) was spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and was at the back,...

I stay in hotels a lot for work and when I stay at the Remont I feel right at home. Staff are very friendly and will deal with any issues swiftly. The rooms are literally too good for a guesthouse. Any changes or cancellations are done without a hitch. The food is always good and hot. The overall quality if...

The Remont was a good choice. Required a bus ride to get to town, but that helped a bit with noise. I would suggest booking a room at the back. Our front room was very spacious, but street noise was a factor. Nicely appointed, not fancy, but functional. Breakfast was okay, buffet style. Service was good. There is parking, which...

We stayed here for one night, wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is very modern inside, and is pristine clean. We had a standard double room, which was perfect, with little touches like bottled water, cookies and hot chocolate. The bathroom was lovely with gorgeous fluffy towels. The breakfast was taken in a very pleasant room and had...

Exceptional service and a very nice breakfast (fresh and delicious; I even liked the scrambled eggs, unusual for me for hotels!). The lady on reception - possibly the owner? - was extremely nice and went out of her way to help me on arrival and check up on my issue (not related to the hotel!) on check-out. The room was...
