The rooms are very new and extremely well-equipped but not well thought out. For example, the cord on the coffee machine was so short it had to be placed on the floor next to a power point. I was a bit disappointed in the food (sounds and looks good but tastes ordinary) except for the excellent breakfast included in the...

I went during bank holiday and they were really understaffed. Because of this, they forgot to do a couple of small things for us like change a lightbulb in our room. I would've given this a complete 5 stars but the bed was incredibly squeaky. Like you would just sit on it and it would squeak so loud and I...

Stayed in the Sir Walter Raleigh room which was beautifully furnished. Not too noisy, despite being by the road. Breakfast was OK, dinner was great. Would definitely stay again, as the location is amazing (right by Christ Church meadow, looking over the river - great for a drink on a sunny afternoon!)

I chose this hotel because of the location (great, walking distance to everything in Oxford downtown, beautiful spot by the river) but was disappointed by a few inconveniences. First was that there is NO parking nearby...the closest carpark is over a mile away, and there isn't anyplace to drop off your bags, so you have to be able to carry...

We booked an Indulgence Room for a Saturday night for a visit to Le Manor (25 minutes away). The room comes with parking and we were able to park the morning we arrived in the small car park to the side of the pub. Our room was very smart and clean with a nice view of the river. The room...

So £4 a pint in central Oxford is not a surprise but £3.20 for a coke is having a laugh. Throw in pretentious bar staff and it is not an enjoyable experience. Best avoided. There are other pubs on the river with better prices and attitude.

Hey StudentBum, Thanks for your review. We do charge £3.20 for a pint of Pepsi, having lived in Oxford for some time this isn't a long way off every other river side pub in the area. As for the staff response there is absolutely no reason to be faced with rude bar staff, I will personally look into your feedback...

Excellent location. Bedroom was fabulous with a great view of the river. Staff first class and most helpful with advice re stay and things to do around Oxford. Met a friend who lives on Oxford but never felt on my own as the staff were so welcoming. Will definitely return and would highly recommend this place.

Very stylish property in a beautiful location not far from town. The rooms were luxurious with extra details considered but unfortunately the room was noisy from road traffic and windows didn't open and we didn't have a fan.

Hi Tomu, Thanks for your review. Sorry to hear about the noise, we are looking into secondary glazing. We have fans available for all rooms, just ask at reception and we're happy to bring one up. Best, Bryan

Good location, food and drinks amazing and a lovely small well decorated and furnished room just above the Pub. Staff is very helpful and dedicated. Definitely a lovely place to stay as a couple to visit Oxford.
