I stayed here with my son recently, for 3 nights. We had a fantastic stay - pleasant, comfortable and quiet. There are thoughful additions and touches to the rooms which make for a very pleasing and homely experience. The breakfast is really the best i've had in any hotel or bed and breakfast for several years. Several buses to downtown... More

My wife and I had a very pleasant and memorable stay in Oxford. In particular the gracious hosts at Burlington house made the stay even more memorable with the excellent service and advice on Oxford. We will definitely recommend visitors to Oxford to seriously consider staying at this hotel. Thank you to the team at Burlington House for the excellent... More

Location A couple of miles north of Oxford - too far to walk but a 10 min / £1.90 bus ride. Hotel has 4 car parking spaces plus on-street is available from 4pm to 10am and at weekends. There are shops and restaurants in Summertown a 5 min walk away Room Ours (no.10) had a slightly musty smell on entry... More

My Partner rang to book for our anniversary and great they had had a cancellation. It is a lovely hotel in a great position, with a bus ride to the centre of Oxford, or a short walk to Summertown. Lovely room, a tad on the small size but the decor was very nice. The only complaint we have, which did... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry about the confusion with the sausages at breakfast. This is a prospective new item on our breakfast menu and we are trialling it at the moment. Unfortunately as we are in our trial period we do not hold a huge stock of sausages as they are cooked fresh... More

Had a very good stay in this guest house while in Oxford in July. Single room and en-suite were a little small but really clean. Guest house was busy (judging from breakfast) but remained quiet and peaceful at night. Breakfasts were really good - cereal etc., fresh filtered coffee and good quality freshly cooked breakfast. Colleagues who stayed at local... More

Had a really fab time in Oxford certainly will return to your lovely city. Ness (think that s how you spell it) could not have done anything more to make our stay such a pleasure. The Hotel was exceptionally spotlessly clean and the bed was probably the most comfortable one I have slept in at any hotel.

Just the right amounts of ambience, friendliness, and comfort and coziness. Incredible hospitality. We felt like a special guest at someone's home. The outstanding host went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. He went out of his way to catered to our every need. He was gracious but never pushy. His friendliness was so contagious everyone felt... More

Staying in Oxford for the weekend, Burlington House I was recommended to me by a friend. Their website is a very good reflection of the Hotel. Spotless and beautifully appointed, I was welcomed with a complimentary drink upon arrival by the very pleasant manager. My room was small but perfect. Quiet, stunningly decorated with fast, free internet access and a... More

We would agree with all the other lovely things said about this hotel. It was excellent in every way. To cap it all, we took the manager's advice to try Jamie Oliver's Italy in the city centre, and it was the best meal on a two week holiday in England and France; even the queue outside to get into the... Thanks for taking the time to write such lovely things! So often people are quick to critise and not so quick to praise, so thanks very much. We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel soon. More

We decided on a last minute break to Oxford and, after having consulted the ever reliable reviews on here, decided to stay at The Burlington House. I can only profusely thank whoever provided a vacancy with a cancellation. This was our first stay at a guest house for a while but I can honestly say that this was more like... More
