This house is very modern and nice. Good parking, good location to get in to the city. It's an easy 40 min walk if you want the stroll or a simple bus journey if you want a beer or two without the walk. The room we stayed in (room 15) was recently redecorated and was excellent. The only thing an...

We have stayed here several times over the past four years and have always had a good experience. Everything is pretty spotless and breakfast is a treat (especially the granola and hand baked bread). They have renovated and added some new rooms recently and the small ultra-modern bathroom is an eye-opener. No doubt we will be book well ahead for...

We stayed one night here when in Oxford to meet friends. The host was really friendly and the breakfast was lovely. Our room was very clean and very nicely fitted out but it was a bit small for us as it was a room out in the courtyard. The hotel is well positioned, just far enough out to be quiet(ish)...

Did not live up to the reviews Was pretty average. Rooms and facilities were average. Feels very dated. Carpet looked old and worn Small bathroom. Outlets were not working properly. Redeeming factor was the breakfast which was good with variety

This is a beautiful converted house and we were given a very warm welcome by Nes who happily gave us an ice bucket and iron before explaining where everything was. Our room was well appointed albeit thebathroom was very small ( we are slim and the shower was a squeeze for my 6 ft husband!). Very clean and nicely decorated...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights whilst visiting friends. We arrived late but were sent an email explaining how to gain entry when reception was closed. We got to our room without any fuss. The room itself was quite small but we had booked a small double. Although compact it was clean, nicely decorated and had all...

We booked a room in Burlington House for a nice night out in Oxford. We arrived around noon and were able to get immediately to the room. A very friendly young man told us everything we needed to know. The room itself was surprisingly spacious, quite unusual for a residential house that was changed into a hotel. The bathroom, however,...

I cant go into detail but we had to cancel our initial booking because of my other halfs medical condition which had us both stressing.. Will the hotel management respond to our change of plan?? Well yes they did and what a lovely attitude they had on the phone.. The welcome by Ness, one of the owners, summed up what...
