I stayed one night and it was relatively good. I got to the hotel at 9:00 a.m., but they didn't allow me to check in before 2:00 p.m. Room itself was spacious and good. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Internet was intermittent.

I tour a lot as a performer and this hotel in Oxford really is one of the best I have been to. The rooms are cosy and warm, with a lovely plush big bed and I slept like a baby! The BREAKFAST is a complete statement of its own! Probably the BEST Breakfast I have ever had anywhere!!! I have...

Stayed in this hotel for a one-night stop in Oxford. Would definitely recommend a visit. The room I was in was a little small, although functionally it had everything that could be needed. Good points: - Breakfast was really good, loved the delicious freshly-cooked croissants and pastries. - Well maintained and interesting decor. - Polite and friendly staff. - Interesting...

Lovely hotel very convenient for John Radcliffe hospital. Comfortable stay at reasonable price BUT we had noisy cretins above us who bumped furniture and shouted all night. I complained twice but it didn't make any difference. I complained again the next day at check out but received no offer of refund.

Spent 3 nights in a single room here recently whilst visiting my son and his family who now live in Oxford. General impression is of a clean, modern hotel fashioned out of several adjoining houses. This makes for the walk to your room (for some like me) a rather convoluted affair, several doors to go through and short up and...

Enjoyed my brief stay here. Val was lovely: friendly, helpful, flexible and accommodating. Thank you! Single room tiny but reasonable decor and very clean, had all I needed including bottled water, tea, coffee. Good wifi. Lovely breakfast area, nice breakfast buffet, hot and cold including full English and good quality croissants and breads/jams etc. Easy walk to city centre (around...

Arriving about 8pm - no one on reception. I could see someone moving behind the 'one way glass' but used the phone instructing guests to call if no one was there. The receptionist emerged, taking her time and issued me immediately with the invoice for my stay. What a welcome!. However, she became more friendly. Maybe I caught her at...

The Galaxie Hotel is located a short bus ride north of town. The room was spacious and the breakfast more than adequate. Tidy and safe. Staying closer to Oxford can be so expensive - stay here and spend your saved money on a pint of good English ale at one of the many local pubs!

I had a convenient single room at the Galaxie Hotel. The facilities were good and the breakfast had a variety of food available in a buffet style. Fruit juice, cereals, fruit, continental and English breakfast items all available. My only criticism - the bacon was a little too crisp for me. The main reason I selected the Galaxie (besides being...
