Great location very close to city centre , rooms comfortable and very clean yes there is no double glazing and if your room is on front there will be traffic noise heard , but didn't stop from getting a reasonable nights sleep . Breakfast was tasty really good quality thick cut bacon very enjoyable Did think the price was a...

Just got back from a two night stay in Oxford. Chose this place because of its location and look. Was a quirky little place, and mastering the second floor of stairs in what is an old coaching inn whilst under the influence was tricky. Room was clean, bathroom nice ( a little small but more than functional), bed comfy and...

Stayed 2 nights at this pub June 20th. Very well located - approx 10 minutes from the centre and a stones throw away from our favourite morroccon restaurant 'Kasbah'! Very friendly staff/landlord and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price but we missed it both mornings due to prior commitments. The pub had its own...

17th century coaching inn, which now finds itself on top of a busy main route into Oxford. Very welcoming once you are inside though, which includes the friendly and helpful staff…the landlord had most kindly even planned a route map for me to use the next day in order to travel to an interview! I stayed in room 5, which...

The lights of the room were not working. We asked the service to repair it, the day put off the reparation. Finally they did not repair it in 5 days!!! The hotel was clean, but a little noise. It's well connected to the city center.

This has got 4 stars from the tourist board how I don't know, I would give it a good 2 stars. Pros: Good location Very nice and clean room Free cark park Cons: Rest of...

The Old Black Horse is not really a hotel, more rooms over a pub. It is in an excellent location, a few minutes walk from the city centre. It also has a car park. Hotels in Oxford that have parking tend to be very expensive or a distance out from the centre. The location and parking are therefore two big...

The Old Black Horse is a 10 minute walk in to the town centre, free on site parking and a good breakfast. The building is old and the floors slopey but that is all part of the character. We were in Room 1 in the main building which is above the Public bar. There was loud music playing on the...

The room I have is fine in all respects except that it faces the main road and as a old coaching house does not benefit from double glazing to keep the traffic noise down. Bed is comfy enough and Aussie barman is pleasant enough but during my stay the place was mainly taken by construction workers who were on a...

Everyone at the Old Black Horse was lovely, very friendly and very nice. But what they have to sell to you does not match their level. I stayed in the self catering apartment out back, past the bins, perhaps the same one as the previous reviewer?. The place smelled horrible and had most likely suffered at the hands of a...
