My wife was booked into this hotel by her workplace. She was booked into a room in Elm House. The room was adequate but she found that there was only one socket in the room to UK standard, the rest were unusable. Whilst this is not so bad, the UK socket was by the door meaning she had to plug...

Dear gcowdrill, Thanks for taking the time to feedback to us here at Hawkwell and I am so disappointed to read of your wife's experience in our newly refurbished Elm House room. I would be very much appreciative if you could contact me directly so that we can look into the room issues. As I said, the rooms are newly...

First impressions were good. Nice room but the bathroom tap was so stiff I could only get a dribble or it shot all over the place. Not too much to be concerned about though. But the big disappointment was the breakfast. The cooked food was good. The organisation in the dining room needs to be sorted. My husband and I...

I booked 2 rooms to stay here for a weekend away with my husband and 2 grown up sons. I booked a twin and a double but was informed on arrival that they only had 2 double rooms, i said not a problem as my sons would just have to share a double bed but it wasn't a great start....

Dear marianne j, Thank you for your feedback following you stay with us at Hawkwell and I am pleased to hear that overall you had a good stay. It is hotel policy to take a pre-authorisation from all guests checking into the hotel as it is in most hotels these days. Pre-authorization of your credit card is technically a "hold"...

We had our wedding at Hawkwell house in December 2016, and had a lot of family staying in the hotel also. I could not fault the staff at the hotel, they were amazing and nothing was too much trouble, we had a fantastic day, a massive thanks to Kayleigh, Darren and Charlotte just to name a few, the staff team...

Chose this hotel based on price and other reviews. The hotel is within easy distance of Oxford city centre but in a quiet location which is great to be away from busy roads. The hotel was of a very good standard with ample free parking. The staff were very friendly and our standard double room was clean with a king...

Arrived at 3pm after a long drive which coincided with my check in time.Waited around for an hour before my room was ready for occupancy. I was then advised my room was up the driveway in another building called Elm House. I pulled my luggage up a long steep driveway and entered Elm House. There was a pair of dirty ladders...

Lovely hotel close to city centre, 10 minutes taxi just £5. We had a superior room which was larger than we normally would book as rate was very good. Shame we only had one night as wanted to see as much of Oxford as possible including taking a visit to the Mini factory in Cowley as well. Very clean room,...
