Stayed 4 nights Monday to Friday. Were welcomed by a friendly young lady on reception, who checked us in efficiently. (She was very helpful in getting me logged onto the Wi-Fi, as the passwords had been changed round). The room on the first floor (no lift) at the front was spacious, well equipped with drawers/cupboards, and clean. Plenty of tea/coffee,... More

It's a charming hotel with a very polite personnel. The food is respectably good with a complete typical English breakfast. Nonetheless the rooms are small (especially the twin ones) and the bathrooms are located out of the rooms which is quite inconvenient if you have to go there during the night. Also, the showers are extremely small. In conclusion, it... More

Many thanks for your kind review. We hope you'll consider staying with us again. We can't do much about the size of the rooms we have, but we will of course offer the same generous amount of charm and personal service. More

This is my preferred place to stay in Oxford. It's in a quiet area just outside city center, but you can walk to High Street within 5 minutes. It's owned by one of the Oxford colleges, and in the summer they rent the rooms to guests. And unlike many of the college dorm rentals, these rooms are large, bright, and... More

We stayed for one night on a little getaway to Oxford and were impressed by the friendly reception staff and how helpful and welcoming they were. Really nice clean room, good size with nice shower and lots of storage. It was a Saturday night so a tiny by noisy outside but we still got a good nights sleep!

We stayed here for one night and were very pleased with the accommodation. Despite arriving early we were invited to book in immediately. Our room was clean and more than adequate for our needs. The bathroom was of the same standard. We managed to get a parking space in the car park behind the building. The breakfast was very good,... More

Many thanks for your kind review. Being so centrally located and close to all that Oxford has to offer does sometimes create the drawback of some noise pollution and I hope it won't deter you from returning. We'd be happy to recommend a room on an upper floor for you next time. More

We didn't really know what to expect from this b&b but we were very pleasantly surprised on our arrival! The room was large and bright and clean. Close to the Oxford city centre too! The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was good but not amazing. A quite nice view from the second floor too. The only draw back was... More

I spent two nights in their William Miller building at £40 a night without breakfast, which I consider inexpensive for a clean, comfortable ensuite room in a central location. You are surrounded by a fashionable neighbourhood of restaurants, cafes and bars and a supermarket, vintage shops and bookshops. Were I to return to Oxford, I would not even consider another... Warm comfortable room, newly decorated and well furnished with plenty of storage space for clothes and belongings - no shortage of hangers in the wardrobe! Spotlessly clean. Good shower with plentiful hot water. Good in-room tea and coffee facilities. Excellent breakfast served at table by courteous staff. Just a short distance from the centre of the city. It would be... Very mediocre ensuite room for the price! Our bedroom overlooked the street next door to the pub so very disturbed sleep at kick-out time. Very basic breakfast - would have been nice to have different tea options for the price!

Many thanks for taking the time to review the Isis Guesthouse. My apologies if you feel we are overpriced, but research of the local market actually puts us at the lower end of the price bracket for our quality rated accommodation. Based on our location you would be hard pushed to find a more central location in Oxford offering 3... More

We arrived in Oxford and went to the tourism office to get assistance in finding a hotel. The Isis had rooms available for £45 per night. As others have mentioned, the Isis is student housing for St. Edmund Hall during the school year, so is only available to the general public when school isn't in session...I believe July-September. The rooms... More
