As people have noted, breakfast isn't great here. But the place is extremely cheap, tidy and central. It's about 50 feet from the Sackler library, and 3 minutes walk from the bus depot. So, stay here, forego the breakfast and with the money you saved, go have a nice breakfast on the high street.

I stayed couple of days in Mrs. Old B&B. It is very cheap as only paid £20 per night with breakfast. I can understand it is not luxurious, but it is very, I think it is good for this price. In oxford all B&B starts with a price of £35pp. The good thing is that she can also sort out...

I stayed at Mrs RM Old's for one night in September 2011 for a conference. The building is pretty shabby outside and inside and probably has not been decorated for many decades. I didn't find it particularly friendly and was happy to go out and wander abut the town in the evening just to get away from the slightly depressing...

I knew what to expect because I had already read reviews. I've stayed in Oxford 10 times including camping and youth hostel. Mrs. Old is old, 91 to be precise. As an ex-staff nurse I had a long conversation with her about her terrible rheumatism, her husband's death and my multi-problems. She can hardly walk and likes a chat. On...

I stayed at Mrs. Old's B&B because of the reviews here and indeed, price and location were unbeatable. I also don't mind granny-style rooms. However, 'clean' means something different to me than what I experienced in the bathrooms where mold, dust and spiderwebs were fighting for the last empty spaces. The white-with-mold-sprinkles shower curtain that sticks to anyone wasn't a...

I have stayed here several times for conferences in Oxford. It is basic accommodation run by a friendly very elderly lady. She has care staff who help her. The rooms are in a very old state of decoration and furnishings but they are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served from 7:45 am or later on a tray brought to your...

Here's what you should ask yourself: what am I willing to put up with for £25 per night in central Oxford? You can't beat Mrs. Old's B&B for location: right behind the Ashmolean Museum, less than 10 minutes' walk from pretty much everything you'd want to do in central Oxford. And you really can't beat the price: £25 for a...
