Very good country pub, with a small number of well appointed bedrooms. Decoration is "farrow and ball" colours, good bathrooms. A number of rooms are in a stable block 20 metres behind the pub. Food in the pub was very good, from a wide and well put together menu. Helpful and friendly staff make for a very pleasant stay. Would...

Very friendly and helpful staff. Welcoming log fire and history all around the Inn about the Mitford Family. We stayed in the Windrush Room which was excellent and overlooked the River Windrush. I would highly recommend The Swan for a long weekend break away from the hassle and stress. Although off the beaten track it is well worth a visit...

We stayed at The Swan for just 1 night between Christmas and New Year and wished we'd stayed for longer! We chose it for location as a half-way venue between friends travelling from the south west and us from the north. We were a large group of 3 families, 11 in total with 4 children under 10 (which we know...

Dear Guest, Firstly, I would like to thank you for bringing your family to our little bubble , I perfectly remember your family, you wouldn't even notice the kids so highly educated, and the girls serving that night just loved them! Also I would like to thank you for your compliments about the food us we have worked extremely hard...

This gastro pub was a great place to stay and eat. We stayed for 4 nights over New Years. The location is in the middle or no where! You cross an old stone bridge which crosses the Windrush River. There are rooms on both sides of this single lane country road - we stayed in the satellite building across the...

We visited to celebrate the New Year for three nights with friends over from Canada. My cousin spent a great deal of time researching for the best play for our stay, she did well! The best part of the Swan are the staff who are small group of people from various parts of Europe. They couldn't do enough and showed...

I have visited this pub a number of times and I have always been impressed by the food, but this pub if about far more than just the food. The pub is hiker friendly, you invariably see a few customers with their dogs, and the Mitford family pictures add atmosphere, oh, and the draft beer is good. And it's value...

We stayed for two nights at the Swan Inn and couldn't fault our experience. From the moment we booked Daniel and Anke did everything they could to ensure we were well looked after and we were made to feel very welcome. The location is stunning - a beautiful, quiet country setting. For a winter stay the cosy real fires in...

My dad was visiting from Middlesbrough and having been here once in the past thought I would take him to this little treasure. The staff are amazing and the food is even better!!! Definitely worth the drive! Can't recommend enough! Just wish I could have fitted in dessert!

Summary: Perfectly warm and cosy EXCEPTIONAL roast dinner And for me the perfect pub setting. A bit more: The Swan is a favourite of ours. We first stumbled across it after trouncing across cow-filled fields, walking by rivers and quaint West Oxfordshire countryside. A refuge from the rain and fresh winds, we entered the Swan Inn, which sits in a...

This is a lovely well run pub with comfortable rooms. Service is excellent, dinner showed off good cooking. It's a delightful spot and well situated for visiting Burford. We had the suite (Debo's room) which was very spacious - big bed, nice rolltop bath (no separate shower) and 2 TVs. Not sure why the dog policy is so limited when...
