Stayed here with 18 others for my 30th birthday in October. Great accommodation, large communal spaces, comfy beds and very helpful staff at the pub next door. Highly recommend to any group large and small - just what we were looking for !

Stopped on the way passed for lunch. Place was empty as it had only just opened but had a friendly greeting. Pint of old speckled hen was well poured. Had the all day breakfast and was offered a choice of either toast or oatcakes. Never had oatcakes before so tried them and were delicious. Didn't have to wait long even...

Stayed her for a hen weekend last month and had a great time! Clean towels and sheets provided, lovely cute rooms, a few minor hiccups but nothing major! Even had cupcakes, tea, coffee, bread and milk provided by the landlady. The joining pub was small but modern and the locals made us feel very welcome on quiz night! Also it's...

A vaguely modern pub with a proper locals end. The locals are all friendly and most helpful with directions and banter. Good plain pub food with decent portions, don't expect waiters? Choices of beers, lagers and wines are acceptable.

My partner and I ate here today on our way back from a day out in the high peak. Never heard of it before but decided to give it a go. Atmosphere was ok with a group of locals drinking and watching TV at one side of the bar and a couple of tables with people eating in the other...

We dropped in at 2.10 on Sunday afternoon (food was available it said on the notice board outside until 2.30). Our lunch order was taken and we sat down with drinks and waited and waited. The landlady was buzzing round washing up and chatting to her friends and not the slightest bit interested or noticing anyone else. After 45 minutes...

Having got our drinks with what can only be classed as reluctance from the bar person, we attempted to order food with a good half an hour to go before last food orders at 8:30pm. We were then told, with no apology, that "we've just taken a large food order, so we're not doing any more food." We won't be...

We were staying at a cottage in the village and decided to see which of the varied trip advisor reviews was correct. I can now see both sides of the picture. The pub is nicely decorated and the food was very reasonable with ample servings.£90 for 6mains,2childrens meals and two rounds of drinks. They offered to rearrange tables to seat...

13 friends stayed at the coachhouse- its an old building but there's no excuse for lack of cleaning. Also in dire need of decoration, some damp areas, leaking roof. Wood lice in attic bathrooms. Sitting area good n outside garden is a suntrap. Don't bother with pub food next door.

Having past this place many times we gave it a go, this old coach house has a modern twist inside with it's pleasant restaurant. the service is good and friendly, today there was only one hand pull beer Pedigree but it was in very good condition. The meal was very enjoyable served on modern matching table ware. The pub is...
