This bed and breakfast was just fabulous. It is in a beautiful little village, and the house itself is very comfortable with comfy beds and lovely roaring fires. The owners did everything they could to help welcome us and were friendly and full of knowledge about places to eat and walks round about. The breakfasts are amazing and generous and...

We stopped at another bed and breakfast and asked directions to the Simonburn Bed & Breakfast, the owner was very kind and told us the new owners were delightful. She was absolutely correct. We were treated as family, enjoyed a bit of friendly banter. This was my favorite stay on the hike. I would like to come back and visit...

This little gem is made extra special by its owners. We stayed here on the second night of a walking holiday and were given an outstanding welcome by our hosts. This really is British hospitality at its best. The rooms were very comfortable and the guesthouse is very tranquil and in a wonderful, peaceful setting. We were picked up in...

Excellent location for those walking Hadrian's Wall and visiting its associated Roman sites, Chesters, Corbridge and Vindolanda. Alternatively ideal for those wanted peace and tranquility. The village has a charming church and Castle ruins nearby. The B&B is run by Soraya and David Tilson - a very welcoming couple, full of calm and good humour. Breakfasts are copious and delicious...

A beautiful location with a super garden. We ate outside and the scones were the best I have ever tasted. Just like mother used to make. Soft, warm and full of fruit. The service was excellent and the new owners were charming.

Stayed here during our Hadrians Wall walk. Our host collected us from pre arranged location and took us to the most beautiful B&B. It was like stepping back in time, just a few houses, a church and a village green. Our room was beautifully decorated and overlooked the garden which was alive with wild birds. Spoilt for choice at breakfast,...

From first arrival on Friday to departure Sunday afternoon we can not fault our hosts for their warm welcome, their hospitality, their accommodation, delicious food, location and surroundings! Absolute bliss! Our three children and ourselves made use of the beautiful gardens on each of the days and we were blessed with great weather. This is a picture postcard English country...

This was our first stop on a Hadrian's Wall walk, and we thought it a perfect way to begin. The hosts were warm and helpful, and the accommodations were everything we had hoped for. Would love to come back -- but it's more than 5,000 miles away.

Firstly what a beautiful location! A complete peaceful gem in a quaint village. I stayed 2 nights in the B&B with three children and had a wonderful experience. The B&B has recently changed owners, they are very friendly and hospitable and we were made to feel very welcome indeed. Comfy beds and a very tasty full English set us up...
