Lovely pub, great food and excellent service. Regularly pop in for a drink, the best pub in Duston. I have recommended the hotel to several international work colleagues and they all love it there. Definitely recommend for the business traveler to stay in as well as locals for drinks and food.

Really enjoyed the lunch we had yesterday. Firstly the decor is superb. And depending on where you sit there's a pleasant view out of the windows My main course was a hamburger with pulled pork and tasty garnishes and chunky chips. Will definitely eat there again.

This pub has the warmth of a local pub with food of a Michelin starred restaurant! We immensely enjoyed a romantic couples dinner in their lovely restaurant and retired to their bar area to enjoy a few drinks! Wonderful service from restaurant staff, and the bar had a great selection of gins that were very much enjoyed. I would definitely...

The Hopping Hare never fails to impress! Now with a new chef, things go from very good to better. My wife and I celebrated our marriage here last year. We came back to enjoy a romantic dinner for our anniversary. Excellent! Thank you!

Visiting the Charles Rennie Mackintosh house and wanting to stay overnight we discovered the Hopping Hare. It was such a comfortable stay, the staff were friendly, efficient and the food was wonderful. Definitely recommend it and now need to find another reason to stay overnight that way

We held our family reunion here as part of my father's 90th birthday celebration. The hotel is very well appointed throughout having obviously been the subject of a thorough re furb in recent years. The rooms were compact but very well appointed in a modern style with an en suite which worked well. The accommodation and restaurant were fully booked...

Went to the Hopping Hare last night (2/4/17) to celebrate our Granddaughters birthday. Table had been booked for weeks so they knew we were coming. Starter of buffalo mozzarella and a few slices of tomato was a joke, five of our party ordered beef roasts - beef was delicious but the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were almost inedible. They...

Dear Wingran, Thank you for your feedback and I apologise that your meal was not up to our normal exceedingly high standards. I am very pleased that you found our roasts and desserts to be delightful and delicious, but I am very sorry that our roast potatoes were not up to scratch. The fact that you were the last table...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
When my family bought the Hopping Hare in 2006 our aim was to create an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, somewhere just a bit different. A place to dine, stay or meet up and relax with friends, family or colleagues. We didn't want it to be stuffy, intimidating or over the top. We set about creating luxurious rooms, a subtle, sophisticated bar with a great selection of quality drinks and a restaurant offering some of the best food to be found in Northampton. As a family owned and operated business, we set the standards on service, value for money, atmosphere and personality. No detail has been overlooked in creating a hotel, restaurant and bar in Northampton with an individual blend of 21st-century chic, high standards and a laid back friendly feel that we are sure you'll begin to notice as soon as you step inside. We've got to know some of our guests well because they come back time after time. In fact, 2010 saw the completion of an extension to the hotel to meet increased demand for accommodation from a growing clientele. My team and I would love to welcome you to stay for brunch, lunch, dinner or just a drink. Once the Hopping Hare is on your radar we guarantee you'll be back.
