I have stayed here once before so was keen to stay again, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, comfy bed ,very clean, quiet and a very good resturant, what more could you want.I accidently left my pill box behind,Donald phoned me straight away so I was only half a mile away and able to go...

We were met in the foyer by a very pretty coloured girl who very politely told us that dogs were no allowed, but that they were in the garden and with that she directed us to the above. The beer was excellent and the service impeccable. The food was pretty spectacular too. The only thing that let it down was...

This inn is hidden away down a small road about one or two miles outside Blisworth but well worth finding. the road is signposted for Blisworth Arm, which I think must be something to do with the nearby Grand Union Canal. The restaurant looks very classy but I was only there for a pint and a sandwich. There are all...

Nice place to stay, staff all great and food is superb. My only criticisms are; the railway line that is opposite the hotel - so noisy that the hotel even supply ear plugs. Kept me awake a fair bit. The bed in my room was quite short. I'm an average 5ft 10 and my feet were hanging off the bed...

Having worked long hours in the area over the weekend, I needed a restful night before driving home. This seemed like a goof value pub in the area. I realised as I checked in that it had been rather more - the former Station Hotel for Blisworth station, now long gone. Traces remain of its finery from Victorian times. The...

We had been to a family Birthday party, so we only needed starters, nevertheless the staff made us feel welcome and when the food arrived it was beautifully presented and tasty. Our rooms were charming and very clean. We had a pleasant walk along the canal and breakfast the following morning was excellent. There was some yobbish behaviour in the...

My husband and I stopped off for a late Sunday lunch last weekend, while out on a long after walk with our dog. Unfortunately we were not allowed in the bar with our dog, despite the fact there was only 1 other person in there at the time & the flooring was not carpet but hard wood. So we ate...

This is an old fashioned place with a brilliant pub serving great local beer and attentive staff. Food is good, the breakfast poached eggs were so yellow I think the chicken was under the table. My room does need updating, but it all worked very well and the shower was powerful which makes a difference from the trendy but useless...

Excellent food, recommend the braised beef, delicious wine and the staff were very helpful. The bar area is of contemporary style with comfortable sofas. We would thoroughly recommend this venue and will go back.

The Walnut Tree from the outside has a look of traditionalism. Inside the decor, furniture and fittings also portray an image that is historically British. However, and unfortunately, the room allocated also managed to provide what many travellers in the UK have experienced previously, tired, fatigued, unwelcoming and in desperate need of a spruce up room. Arrived late and left...
