Spotless and large twin room with decent-sized bathroom and plenty of hot water. Comfortably-furnished and with small fridge in-situ. Only negative is that new mattresses would improve sleeping comfort. Free Wi-Fi. Quiet environment. Thick carpets keep inside noise levels very low. Good breakfast cooked to order in the adjoining coffee shop. Good variety of meals at acceptable prices available across...

We stayed at Roade House as it was not far from Silverstone. The room was £90 for a double on a Saturday night which included breakfast. Upon arrival (Saturday evening) the hotel was locked, with a note on the door informing you to ring the number or go to the pub across the road. Some other guests had arrived at...

Hotel location was superb for attending an event in the next village. The room was spacious and well appointed. Good size bathroom with shower, plenty of complimentary toiletries. Extras in the room included complimentary snacks and soft drinks which made a welcome change to the big chain hotels where everything is charged for. Breakfast was very good with full menu...

Booked this at short notice as I had some business nearby. I didn't expect more than a place to sleep and on arriving I the evening found a note on the door telling me to report to the pub across the road to check in, which started to ring alarm bells. The friendly staff I the pub quickly found my...

I stayed here as I was attending an evening meeting in the Village. Excellent car parking. The room was very comfortable; the desk had clearly been well used but so what? It did the job and free wi-fi enabled me to complete a number of tasks. Dinner & their Merlot at their Pub over the road was very good. There...

This is probably a very good place for business travellers. The bedroom was spotlessly clean and several freebies were supplied in the room and minibar. However, it took ages for the hot water to run through and the central heating wasn't working. Breakfast was average. The owner is a very friendly lady and possibly has only taken over recently. She...

Wonderful array of cakes and very friendly staff. A relaxing environment which we really enjoyed. I particularly enjoyed the carrot cake and my other half was delighted to be offered his chocolate brownie warm and with clotted cream. Will definitely return!

Stayed here to try something different from Northampton city centre chains. A bit disappointed as reviews had suggested charming small hotel but in fact it's a pretty basic B&B, with old fashioned fixtures, fittings & decor (eg no socket near bed, florals and pines). I also thought overpriced. The breakfast was excellent though & some nice touches, eg free chocolate...

In a quiet village. Very comfortable and spotless room. As well as complimentary tea/coffee and toiletries there were free chocolate bars and cans of coke. Breakfast, included in our room rate, was very good and served by friendly staff. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
