We stayed at St George's Place recently when we came up to York for a long weekend. The accommodation was just what we needed, a place to rest our heads after sightseeing each day. The hospitality of the owners was superb, they were entertaining and very hospitable. Breakfast each morning was superb, really filling and special requests were managed with...

Stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary, the staff had balloons and a card wishing us happy anniversary which was really nice. Room was as good as it gets. Big comfy bed, spotless all around, bathroom was amazing. Situated just outside the city centre but that's either a 2 minute bus ride from outside hotel or a 10 minute...

Ideally located near the racecourse and a short walk into the city centre. Helpful staff and the most useful hotel guide we've seen, ie tells you what you want to know not handfuls of attraction brochures. Very dog friendly and a fab breakfast. Definitely will stay again.

There is no formality about your arrival, a warm greeting with a smile. We had a front facing bedroom with a large bay window. The room, though not right up...

What an incredible stay at a beautiful guesthouse in the wonderful city of York! Bedroom: My partner and I were on the top floor in a double room. The room had a large wardrobe, dressing table, big flatscreen tv and lounge chairs in the bay window. The decoration was a beautiful combination of old and new, and really added to...

Booked this lovely place for a birthday weekend visit to York for my wife and I, it is opposite the race course (1/4 mile) and within walking distance of the city centre (10-15 min walk). The owners were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had room five which was the small double, it had everything we needed,...

The menu for breakfast was superb we had something different every morning and could not fault the layout or the cooking, first class. All three hosts extremely friendly and easy to talk too. The...
