In town with a friend to see the legend that is Mr Weller, we stopped for the night at 21. Welcome was very friendly, though parking is a tad tight. Room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed, though it was quite squeaky. Bathroom was well provisioned, though the shower was a tight squeeze for the amply proportioned gentleman...

What a find. Only 5 mins from the city on foot, spotless comfortable bedrooms with bottled water and homemade biscuits etc plus dressing gowns and slippers. I would challenge anyone to find a better breakfast, all locally sourced produce, cooked to order including homemade baked beans even and the homemade blueberry pancakes were superb. This will definitely be our new...

Excellent location, five minutes walk to centre of York. Made very welcome by Simon and Andrea. Comfortable room. As vegetarians it was good to have a choice of specific vegetarian options for breakfast, Really good bread. excellent fresh fruit. Most enjoyable breakfasts all round. Would certainly stay again when visiting York.

Fab breakfast, real milk and fridge in the room, central and quiet location, warm welcome. Night's stay was a gift voucher - what a lovely Christmas present. Loads to do in York, and easily accessible from the train station.

Lovely b&b fantastic breakfast and as I am gluten free the hosts also made me my own bread & got me my own sausage. The parking at the rear is a great help. You are also only 10 minutes away from the centre of York, would highly recommend NO 21.

As Bed and Breakfast owners ourselves, we can have very high expectations from the bed and breakfasts we choose to stay at. Without a doubt, No. 21 York was the nicest bed and breakfast stay of our recent trip through the UK. Simon was a great and knowledgeable host, greeting us warmly and providing us with useful suggestions (and money...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
No. 21 York is a multi award winning Bed & Breakfast, offering a choice of nine clean & comfortable rooms, a warm and homely welcome as well as a great Yorkshire breakfast - all within a stone's throw of York City Centre. Built circa 1890, the B&B is a Victorian Terrace that has a history of offering accommodation and breakfast to guests since 1966, we will continue in this tradition of offering homely hospitality in some of the finest bed and breakfast accommodation in York. Our ethos is that we support our local & we are fiercely proud of our local Yorkshire produce, supplies & furnishings. Where possible, everything we do is a celebration of York and Yorkshire. York happened to us by happy coincidence & we love York and the surrounding countryside and it's a pleasure for us to share our "local" knowledge of what's on offer in our amazing city and - as it is fondly known - "God's own county" as well as how to get around & about. We look forward to welcoming you to our home & hope to see you sometime soon. ... more   less
