The Ambleside provided comfy room and lovely breakfast. Our host was attentive and assisted us with our planning. A short walk to downtown, a little longer to the train station and the York Train museum. We'd stay here again!!!

Excellent B&B with wonderful hosts. Nice quiet street and still within easy walk to all the attractions, shops and restaurants. Good advice on drives, walks and where to eat. Brilliantly appointed room with great attention to detail. Very nice breakfast cooked to order exactly when you want it. We would recommend Ambleside to anyone

Keith at the Ambleside, however, quoted exactly what...

This is a very nice bed and breakfast: the room was small but very clean and cosy, with very good breakfast and in a quiet position (it took us more or less 10 minutes to walk to the cathedral). Keith is so friendly and helpful that we really had a very pleasant stay. We booked it through the information office...
