My first thoughts were what a great location! - literally 30 seconds walk from the wall and a couple minutes from the Minster. There was a bit of 'home improvements' going on which was 'one of those things' and to be fair, there was no noise etc that disrupted our stay. The staff were helpful, the room was clean, bed...

Found this place at last minute, and wow not disappointed one bit! The rooms are lovely, spacious, comfy and very quiet. Me and my partner stayed here in a mews room last weekend. The place has been refurbished and it does look beautiful, clean and tidy. Parking 6 per day, which is round the corner. literally minutes away from everything,...

Stayed for weekend theatre trip. Excellent location minutes away from city centre. Good choice of pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. We were in room six which is very small and dark. We slept really badly due to the poor condition of the bed which is in dire need of replacing. When mentioned on checkout my comments were greeted with...

Perfect location and great prices. Stayed here twice while visiting York and both times have been spot on. Rooms are clean and tidy and you get what you're paying for. Second visit we went into the superior rooms which were just like an apartment out the back of the hotel, plenty of space for the two of us and cosy....

I stayed in a twin room with my friend, for a long weekend in York. Every staff member I spoke to was very friendly and helpful, even offering to look after our bags after we checked out. The room had all the essentials and was clean. I couldn't comment on the heating, as we didn't use it. The WiFi was...

We stayed here Sat 18th to Mon 20th Feb. We had room 21 which was in the Mews section. The room was lovely. Very spacious and clean. A lovely bathroom with free toiletries. The bed was very comfortable. There was heating in the room which was very good. A tv on the wall. Tea and coffee making facilities. We parked...

Location great, Price great. Then when we arrived it was like a building site which we were not made aware prior to booking. On arrival I told the lady behind the bar that we were here to check in and she said oh are you and seemed surprised. She did tell us that they were undergoing some refurbishment work and...

We travelled back to York for graduation ceremonies and we were very disappointed. For starters, they were refurbishing and the whole place was a MESS. Paint everywhere, dust, dirt, the carpets were dirty, drop cloths hanging, and there was NO notice, discount, or apology. This "B&B" charges extra for breakfast. The rooms we stayed in looked NOTHING like advertised. They...
