Les and Al run a very welcoming, relaxed and efficient guest house. The location for the old city centre is very good - 10 minutes walk and you are there yet the area where the guest house is located is very quiet. Breakfast is a treat for those with a hearty appetite. Room cosy although a little on the small...

St. Raphael Guest House was everything a good B&B should be. The room and ensuite were cosy, immaculate, and quiet. Les is a superb hostess -- warm and gracious. She was very helpful in providing guidance about various sites in York. The breakfast choices were incredible, ranging from freshly baked bread, cereals, fruit, yogurt, eggs, and salmon. Her breakfasts kept...

We were warmly welcomed to this quiet guest house, less than 10 minutes' walk from the centre of York. The rooms were simple but comfortable and the breakfasts were of very high quality with excellent service.

Davvero...

My husband and I spent two nights here and had a wonderful experience. Les & Al were very helpful with advice and directed us along a lovely path through the Museum Garden from the rail station. We ordered our breakfast the day before and had many hot and cold options. Waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread was...

Les and Al were wonderful, helpful and friendly hosts. The location was great -- easy walk to the train station and the walled city. The spacious room was lovely with a comfy bed, comfy chairs and all the needed amenities. Breakfast was great. In addition to the full English breakfast, a smoked salmon option was delicious. Three kinds of homemade...
