Well placed hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were quiet and beds comfortable. Didn't try any food but might next time as not easy to find decent breakfast cafes early morning in York. No parking on site

Well located for central York - only 5 mins walk from the centre. Our room was clean and tidy with a view of the castle walls. The room was clean and fresh if basic with no frills. No hairdryer but borrrowed one from reception. Staff were friendly and helpful. No onsite parking but a car park at a reduced rate...

As a Travelodge fan this has got to be one of the worst we have even stayed in. The first thing that greeted us when we got to our room was a couple of used contact lenses on the table at the side of the bed. The bedding had not been correctly fitted with sheet just thrown on bed and...

The hotel is in a decent location in York, it's a 5 minute walk from the city centre. The staff were excellent especially Ian and Tom who were great and we had a great laugh with. It's a Travelodge, what you see is what you get. A reasonably priced clean and comfortable room. It was a great base to see...

We decided to spend a couple of days in York, before my knee replacement operation. We chose the Central Travelodge as it was close to the city. We had a view of Clifford's Tower and the City Museum. Very clean and comfortable room. Perfect and reasonable cost to say it was a last minute booking.

We visited to spend time with our son for his 21st. He is studying at Uni in York. Booked online 2 rooms and when we arrived only charged for 1 early check in despite having booked 2 as computer playing up. Room was what you expect from Travelodge. Clean comfortable and supplied with tea coffee etc. Does what it says....

Stayed in Travelodges many times however this one did not match up to others. The first room we were offered was set up for 3 people rather than 4, with only 3 beds. We were quickly offered another room but it was still not really set up for 4; just 3 mugs and 3 towels and just one toilet roll....

Loved location not far from the city centre. The hotel was lovely, just at night there was a lot of noise on both nights, drunk people. The mornings was a noisey with deliveries, but other than that it was lovely

Our family stayed at a Travelodge hotel for the first time ever recently, so first impressions count for a lot. This hotel has a great location, easy to find and right next to a popular Weatherspoon pub. We booked a room at short notice for Easter and the rate was very good for what was on offer. OK it does...

This hotel is in a great location, a 5 minute walk to the centre of the city. The hotel has no bar or restaurant but is literally next door to a large Wetherspoons pub which serves food from 7.0 a.m to 11.0 pm and is excellent value. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. A couple of minor...
