Hidden away up a small alley is a gem of a place. The décor is great but the food is better. Had a sausage and bacon sandwich for brunch. Tea served straight away but long wait for the sandwich, the reason, it was freshly cooked. Well worth the wait. it was great. The place is real gem and worth finding....

My husband and I booked accommodation and were then offered the cottage. It's lovely and spacious. Clean and welcoming. Great location and superb breakfasts. We loved staying and hope to return with family as it sleeps 6. Fabulous!!!!

Eaten here on several occasions in the past and been highly satisfied with the food and the service. So decided to book in for a couple of nights B&B. The price did seem a little higher than the run of the mill B&B but I must admit that our room puts many 4 & 5 star hotels in the shade....

Called in here after walking from Robin Hood's Bay to Whitby. Always very popular. Special Rarebit (without eggs) and Kipper - both meals delicious, well presented and very filling. I am never disappointed when I come here for food.

Originally booked one of the ensuite bedrooms but were given an upgrade to The Chocolate Shop cottage which was much appreciated. Cosy full of character and central for everything on the Abbey side of Whitby. And a stones throw from a number of good pubs. Good value especially when the breakfast is included and being cooked by the team at...

My wife and I stayed in the Jade Attic room. Absolutely lovely! The room has a large, spotless bathroom and tons of character with original exposed beams (I assume some of them are old ships' masts). The bed is great. We slept extremely well indeed on what is obviously a very good quality mattress. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

This B and B is attached to a very nice cafe/ bistro which provided a great good quality breakfast, veggies well provided for. It is in the old town, and quiet at night but near restaurants, quirky shops and only a few minutes from the harbour. I only have one note of caution, we had a room - the Jade...

What lovely people at Sanders Yard. They were so helpful after we were let down by the b&b we booked. Fantastic welcoming cottage. But the best bit was the staff and yummy breakfast. The porridge was AMAZING.

My husband and I stayed in room 1 which is described as a premium double en suite with a new sleigh bed. The bed was spoiled by the lumpy pillows that were void of any fullness, but the bed itself was very comfortable. Please consider replacing the pillows. The large deep bath was fabulous along with the very powerful shower/mixer...

Always a good place to visit when visiting Whitby. The cafe is quaint with a cosy feel. The staff are always cheerful and helpful. The food is,always well presented and very fresh ingredients. A good choice of cakes and desserts. A huge plus for this place is that dogs are allowed in one area, great if it is too cold...
