Fantastic themed guest house close to the centre of Whitby, with a gothic theme. Very quirky, friendly and comfortable. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and the breakfasts were wonderful. Our room had a gorgeous four poster bed, as well as all the usual home comforts. A lovely weekend.

My husband and I stayed here last Wednesday/Thursday for his birthday. We had a fantastic time. The room was great - witches (one of which looked spookily like ... Whoops, better not say, she might be reading this) - bats, skulls - fab attention to detail. The veggie breakfast was wonderful - best I have ever had - and my...

This was our first time staying in Whitby and I chose bats and broomsticks due to it's location it's a 15 min walk from the harbour and it's near the train and bus station so it was perfect for us as we travelled by train to get there. The place is spotlessly clean and all the rooms have lovely decor to...

We were on a geek road trip and Whitby was our first port of call (with it's Dracula connection). I couldn't wait to stay at Bats and Broomsticks and I wasn't disappointed. The room was fantastic, the breakfast was hearty and Kev the owner was brilliant.

Another trip to the fabulous Bats and Broomsticks confirms standards are still high. We keep returning as we love it so much. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Whitby when you have so much fun here – the Dracula theme always entertains and every time we go we spot a detail we haven’t seen before. The bedrooms have Victorian...

I travelled here with my partner for a few days away for my birthday. We had an amazing time, from the moment we arrived. The accommodation is lovely and especially great for horror fans. The hosts are great, I called them prior to arrival to ask if ok to drop bags off before check in time, and they offered to...

Each room has a different theme going on, with awesome Gothic décor. I have actually stayed here more then once, in two different rooms and both rooms were lovely. The dinning area was also really cool and also had the Gothic theme going on. The rooms are clean and well looked after. The owners are really lovely people, who couldn't...

We went for a birthday weekend last min. So much fun! We stayed in the solar room and it was beautiful, decked out with golden wallpaper, gargoyles, a witch and a bat. The four poster bed was very comfy and the room itself was spacious. Each room has its own bathroom although they aren't on suit this wasn't a problem....
