Thank you for reviewing Bagdale Hall, we do have a great location with on-site parking which is a big plus. The staff are great (don’t tell them) and glad the rooms were comfortable and presented to your liking, breakfast always goes down a treat. Hope to see you again soon.

Even though the receptionist (Carole) turned up with a sink plunger after my wife said the sink was slow to empty. The staff were terrific at all times and nothing was too much trouble. The best part of B&B at Bagdale was the breakfast, all credit to the breakfast Chef.

We have now give Carole a new role (plumber), the staff are terrific in their own ways and we are always here to help. Chef said he will take the credit and thank you for the review. We hope to see you again soon and no plumber next time.

We met our friends here as they had booked for two nights, it was our wedding anniversary an had booked a table. Our friends met in the bar an surprised my husband. We had a fabulous meal. Having fish for starters.. followed by steak, fish pie and smoked haddock on bubble an squeak as our main choices. Of which non...

Bagdale Hall is a quirky hotel in the centre of Whitby. The rooms are spacious, comfortable but a little tired in decor. Dinner was excellent, food well presented with friendly and relaxed serving and surroundings in the beautiful dining room. Feel Bagdale lacks a relaxing after dinner room, offering only a small bar areach, although quaint, had only a couple...

The hotel is certainly quirky and we do have large rooms, sorry the decor felt tired but we can only update parts of the hotel one at a time. Our bar is small and ambience is created by people, we do have a large lounge area at the top of the restaurant for all guests to use. We don’t offer...

Best point - own car-park, so don't have to deal with Whitby's confusing parking options. Nice comfy room, well decorated and clean - friendly, helpful staff. Worst point - our room (10) suffered from a lot of traffic noise. Breakfast, pleasant with good service, but not outstanding, some fresh fruit would have been nice...

Car parking is always a big plus for us and yes we have two. Room 10 is on the front of the building giving more space and room to the rear hotel rooms, traffic noise in the day but morning and evening we don’t seem to have any problems.

Hotel spotless, staff friendly, food good, would definitely have a return visit and also recommend it. The town has an array of shops and plenty of eating places wether it's a cuppa or a 5 course dinner there's something for everyone.

My partner surprised with a two night at here, we were in room 14 in the annex. The hotel is in a ideal location and great that it had parking facilities which they are generous with! (Offered us to leave our car there after check out for as long as we wanted) the room itself is old fashioned but that...

Looks like you had a great surprise and you enjoyed your stay. The food is fantastic and we have a great chef, breakfast will never please everyone but we do try. We look forward to all the recommendations and to your next visit.

Paid £125 for single occupancy of a double room inc breakfast - slightly strange that I had to pay in full for the room at check in & before seeing / experiencing the room, which was in the annex. The room was OK, nice 4-poster bed however the decor in the room was quite tired & pretty basic. The bathroom...

Lots of hotels make you pay upfront these days, we ask if people would like to or not. When catering for breakfast we hold our food in a hot plate which is cooked for a set amount, you got extra mushrooms so I can’t see the issue there. We do hope you visit again and I’m sure we can cater...

We have stayed at many properties in Whitby over the years, and this one has been a great experience. The staff are friendly, and our four poster room was enormous. I would suggest you bypass the other eateries in the town as the value and quality of their food was good.
