Arrived about 7.15 Friday evening and received a lovely warm welcome and help with our luggage to our room. Room was lovely and clean but a bit cold so we turned the radiator up. There was no radiator in the bathroom so that was a bit chilly. Beds clean and very comfortable. We took some wine and wine glasses appeared...

We had a 2 day break. This is an excellent b & b , and full credit to the owners, They greet you with enthusiasm and provide lots of little touches which show they have really thought about your needs. We stayed in a large double bed room, which they claim to be their Best Room, I bet they say...

Partner and I stayed on Halloween as we wanted to visit the famous 199 steps and see the beautiful Abbey. The Waverley is in a great location, very near the seafront and a short, 5 minute walk from the Abbey. Only downside of location is the lack of parking, but I think this was simply due to the Goth Weekend....

Stayed for the one night on the Sunday of Whitby Goth Weekend. I rang early in the morning and asked about a car park space. David said he would keep me a space behind the guest house. Just as well because when we arrived at about 1.30pm there wasn't a spare space anywhere on the roads. Stayed in room 3...

Had a long weekend here at The Waverley with hosts David and Tania. We were situated in the eaves of the house in a small(ish) but very adequate room with everything we needed. The only adverse comment would be that the free wi-fi wouldn't quite reach us in the top room. The iphone would pick it up intermittently but the...

We had a lovely stay here. Tania and David are so friendly and helpful, which makes your stay so pleasant. We were also really lucky to stay in one of the rooms on the top floor which has a view across the town and of the abbey on the cliff - beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. David and...

My fiance and I have just returned from a short break in Whitby. We stayed at the Waverley. On arrival Tania made us instantly feel very welcome and even offered to carry my heavy bag up the stairs! We were in room 9 which is on the 3rd floor...lots of steps but totally worth it as the views over the...
