I booked a single room at the Esklet online for the Goth Weekend. I was met at the door by a very friendly landlady, who showed my my room, gave me my room keys, and explained the usual routines. The bathroom was separate and across the landing, but was exclusive to my room, and a bathrobe was supplied if I...

This is the third time we have stayed at the Esklet guest house in Whitby. The hotel features lovely rooms , great breakfast and very close to all amenities. Never had a single fault all times we have stayed there.

A nice place to stay, quiet area, can walk to town although there is a bus stop nearby. Close to the sea can walk in five mins. It is up hill from railway and bus stn unless you walk a longer route. Beware though some roads in Whitby are named different on each side of road. Nice single room the...

Just returned from a one night stay here and I have to say it was lovely. We managed to park on the street right outside the front door and were provided with a permit for free parking. The location for us was perfect, just 10 minutes into town. We stayed in room 5 which was spacious and clean, with a...

Room nice and clean, bed comfy, shower small but efficient and nice and close to the center of Whitby. Breakfast was rubbish but we would stay here again. Staff are nice enough and tea and coffee supplies in the rooms were much appreciated.

This is a great little guest house, in a good location and well priced. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfy. The bathrooms are quite small but perfect for what you need however they don't include a bath, just a shower. The rooms also have a hairdryer, TV and free wifi access (although we found the...

Stayed here in October for a second visit and was not disappointed, it is a great place to stay with clean, well decorated and appointed rooms at reasonable prices, the breakfast has plenty to choose from and is good quality. There is permit parking on the road outside the hotel, with the permit supplied by the hotel and it is...

Had an overnight stay here, received a friendly welcome and was booked into room 6, in the eves. The room was spacious & comfortable, however a little dated. The bed was comfortable and clean. The en-suite was very compact, only a toilet & shower. The washbasin was in the bedroom - 1960's! The breakfast was good and served promptly. The...

My husband and I booked this lovely guest house through lastminute.com for a one night stay in one of our favourite places " Whitby". We arrived approx 7.30pm Sunday night to a beautifully clean, warm, traditional type guest house. Nice warm welcome, great spacious and well equiped room ( room 7) . Room was lovely and clean, nice cosy bed...

The guest house is about a 15 minute walk from the town centre and this does mean an uphill climb on your return. The street system is difficult to follow with names of streets and the numbering of houses being rather confusing at times. However this is a comfortable place to stay - the bed was actually very comfortable despite...
