The room was a bit small, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. I had kippers cooked perfectly one day and the "full English" the next. Very convenient for the seafront and harbour. Parking was not easy to find (twice around the block) but was included in the room price. Once parked we didn't need the car for the...

Once again another great stay. good room and excellent breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome (again). Dave was on holiday but made very welcome by Jo, who we know from when she had her own B & B, and the girls. Cannot wait for our next stay

Had another fab stay here. Room 8 on the second floor is spotless with tea making facilities and is en suite Dave provides a car parking permit for your stay. Excellent breakfast which you order the night before. Easy walking distance into town but a hilly walk back. Near to the beach Daves girls do an excellent job. Will return...

We stayed here on Saturday after booking last minute and got the last room it was in the attic but was worth the effort to climb the stairs. Spotlessly clean. Lovely choice for breakfast which was delicious

Booked to stay a few nights to do some fossil hunting on the local beaches, dave very kindly started the breakfasts early so i could make use of the low tides on the beaches, and a fantastic breakfast it was too!! Free parking permit which was great as you can get parked right outside the guesthouse, plenty to do in...

last minute booking and after a quick call to the owner Dave we arranged to check in at the earlier time of 1pm. large lovely room with a super shower and a very comfy bed. full English breakfast was very good and devoured by us all.. we would certainly stay here again when visiting Whitby.

Stayed there in September 2016 friendly staff & host Very clean rooms & a very good fully cooked breakfast An easy walk into the town of Whitby which we used as our base for some very scenic coastal walking on the Cleveland Way north & south of Whitby

The Arches is a Victorian, 4 star, family run Guest House. We are situated conveniently on Whitby’s West Cliff which is only a 5 minute stroll from town, the harbour or beach. Each of our double, twin, & family rooms are en-suite, and our single rooms each have private bathrooms.
