Returned form Oxford late on Saturday night, couldn't get home! Stayed for a few drinks from the friendly staff and enquired about a late booking! Dan was so helpful and jumped on it straight away. Clean tidy room, comfortable bed and hot shower. What more do you want! Thank you Bluebell!!!
Came home yesterday, 2/12/21 , after three days in Middlesbrough, excellent stay at the Blue Bell, previously had only been there for Funerals so we were very impressed. The Rooms, Dining Area for Breakfast and the Bar Area were all very clean , service was excellent, Breakfast superb. Only problem we had was the taps in the bathroom sink, and to be fair I think that was an age issue on our part ! Otherwise great .
I came down to Middlesbrough to meet some friends and thought this hotel would be great as it had the restaurant in it aswell. Staff were very friendly and the gentleman who checked me in upgraded my room which was very lovely of him. I came to the bar for “one drink” staff made me aware that it was 2-1 on cocktails. 4 hours later I was still there :) cheap and cheerful. It’s fair to say I will definitely be returning.
Had a cooked breakfast here for the first time and will definitely be going back. Best breakfast I've had in the area, I particularly liked the sausages, not cheap rubbish like some places. Portions were generous, you definitely need an empty stomach . Very very reasonably priced. We were served by Lucy, a lovely young lady, very polite and chatty. Looking forward to our next visit.
As we were going to a funeral the hotel is the perfect location. The hotel is tired and need of some refurbishment but the room was comfortable, clean though too dark for reading. Hair dryer and tea and coffee facilities. The dinner was very good value and well cooked. Breakfast cooked to order. The staff are very friendly and attentive.
What an absolutely disgusting hotel terrible rooms terrible reception especially the big guy with the glasses he should be sacked ASAP. The night Porter tried his best but even he suggested no one should stay here or eat at this location from a member of staff that’s shocking. The whole place is a knocking shop so I will be sending my report to Cleveland police to investigate. The best part of my stay was the Boro taxi that got me away from the place. I recommend no one stays at this location
Staff were incredibly friendly and Jordan in the desk helped with an questions, the chef Emma made a fantastic breakfast too. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed comfortable, TV, coffee and tea making facilities all provided.
This was a very poor visit to this hotel/restaurant Called in at tea time. Notices plainly in view regarding mask wearing and sanitiser The latter abundant but apart from myself and partner no one else including staff were sticking to the rule. The menu although limited was ok til I started to order first two choices were not available scampi and lasagna so had to do with 3rd choice which turned out to b a very poor Club Sandwich short of the main ingredients The fish shop Platter was not much better as although there was a choice of several types of chips i obviously chose the wrong type hand cut and fried thy were in fact burnt. you migt ask why I didn't complain ? Well we had already ordered drink fortunately they were ok and we were sat down. and I wasn't confident there would be much if any response. Unfortunately that was the first and last meal we'll be having here.…
