Amazing home cooked food whilst visiting Great Busby in nearby accommodation. Steaks and mussels were fabulous and staff couldn't have been better. Lovely people. Would definitely visit again. Thank you for making a birthday meal special in these difficult times.

4 of us went last night and had an excellent experience. Sensible protocols put in place, to deal with Covid. Lovely food with large portions. All 4 of us left well satisfied and well stuffed. Even if we had paid full price, it would have been well worth the money. We did point out that we thought they had undercharged us, even with the £40 off, but they said the bill was correct. We'll definitely be back.

Been to this pub a few times but last couple of visits food not as good as it was. Overcooked. Standard pub prices, but can get better elsewhere in the area. On a positive note beer quite good and pleasant staff.

Hands down the worst parmo I have EVER had! My dad tried the parmo after me and told me it was still frozen or very cheap chicken. I politely told the staff to be told “chef says it looks fine” then to be avoided for the rest of the night, I’m local and me and my family have spent a lot of money in that pub often taking friends to watch the football ect. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Won’t be eating there ever again.

Our B&B host drove us and some other Coast-to-Coasters here for a meal. Great choice! Everyone loved their dinner choices, which were tough choices since everything on the menu looked so delicious. Good beer and great company made for a wonderful evening.

Ok food. Not really anything wrong but just average meal. Shrimp scampi was breaded and fried, not sautéed as we expected. But maybe that is just the way they do it here? Seems like a place that the locals came to eat. The bar was almost as big as the restaurant, and popular.

Visited here last night as wanted to try somewhere we had not been to before. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. He got a cosy table in the corner of the restaurant and the food was really good, the portion sizes were very generous. After our meal we wandered into the bar area for another drink all the locals were very welcoming. Will be going back again for sure a lovely little find.

This is a great village pub Decent well served food, at good prices. Beer is well kept and always fresh, we ended up working our way down the taps. We visited for a get together of friends. Free carpark just around the back.

Eating areas very small and way too much furniture, almost all seating bumped other chairs. Drinks all reasonable. Meals disappointing despite plates being warm food was barely tepid. Bowl of chips for 4 was not sufficient, also some chips were very hot some cold so it was obvious that some freshly cooked mixed with some previously cooked, asked for somemore which staff said would be coming and as yet still waiting. Vegetables were very al dente and whilst we don't like over cooked veg these were almost raw. Not sure whether staff passed this information on as when we went to pay landlord did not appear to know and give him his due our bill was reduced, Thank you.
