After paying on the spot for my 3 night stay , I was then told I had a £50 deposit to pay ? This is unacceptable, a lot of people don’t have that type of money! I wasn’t aware of this until I arrived at property. Room was dirty and bed nearly touched both side of room! Breakfast was cold and not very nice . Staff nice and pleasant. It was a very unpleasant stay and I found it an unprofessional run hotel
Beautiful place. Very nice staff service was excellent. Enjoyed our selves, will definitely use the hotel again. Nice and clean. Garden was nice and big the children really enjoyed them selves. They accommodated all our needs.
Where to start! On arrival we had to pay an extra £50 to check in 30 mins early. We then had to pay £50 each per room for a deposit, which I was supposed to receive on check out. Apparently, they could not find my envelope with my money in. I was waiting for 30 mins, but recponsisit just kept checking everyone else out. Unfortunately, couldn't wait any longer as we needed to leave to get home due to childcare. The best was having a wake call up at 10am for out 11am check out, they came and knocked on door 3 times, this is not needed. Threatening all the customers, if not out at 11am exctally we would be charge! What a joke! Our room was dirty, I had hair on my feet from the carpet. Our curtains had holes in and I had no bedside table, the toilet seat was broken and the toilet roll holder was loose. The kettle and cups were dirty, The staff are rude and not helpful at all. I am going to have make an official complaint to get my deposit back. Best off all doors don't lock properly, as someone manage to open our door at 5am this morning thinking it was there room.…
We booked this hotel thinking it would be a nice luxury one as the reviews and photos spoke highly of it. We get there and downstairs was beautiful well decorated. We check in not given any information on breakfast or fire exits or anything. Get to our rooms find that are many things that need repairing like holes in walls, hanging wires, hanging damaged bedside light, broken shower that takes a while to warm up, no proper heating and dust being a major problem. Being told breakfast starts from 7:30 til 9:30 by the owner who I came upon outside. Then told they stopped at 9am. Despite being told what we were told. Rude staff who would argue the toss. Paid for breakfast which we didn’t have and paid for one down the road at Toby Carvery instead. Felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. Can’t believe that someone thinks this is customer service. Appalling…
Absolutely disgusting the room had stains splattered on the walls, bed broken, seats stained, tea cups hadn't been washed, towels ! Stained, bedside tables broken and as for the bathroom i have no words we didn't say we checked straight out and booked elsewhere.
Recently stayed in room 102,had an amazing experience & both my husband & I couldn't praise the staff more. Went above & beyond to make ur stay excellent. Clean rooms, bedding & towels. 5stars from us & will be back soon.
Stayed for few days. From the moment I stepped inside I notice how dirty the room was. I had to change a room.Unfortunately I am a Environmental Health consultant...photos attached from my first room. I think the hotel has potential but a lot needs to done.
Fabulous place, with great food and AMAZING team. Vlad was super helpful to me when I had great difficulties arising from another situation. He went above and beyond, thank you Vlad! Definitely a 5 star stay
Lovely little hotel the staff were very friendly and my family were well looked after on the break they had it has a nice atmosphere and we ate at the hotel twice and the food was delicious and not expensive and the bar was good It’s on the buss route to town and very convenient also has its own parking bays
On entering the spacious lobby, complete with comfy sofas, we were greeted by the lovely Chelsea who explained the layout, breakfast arrangements, etc. Our ground floor room was quite small but contained a king sized bed, adequate storage, tea and coffee facilities, etc. The shower room was very spacious and the walk in shower lovely and hot. We went into the bar which is amazing with lots of comfy seating and brilliant murals of Peaky Blinders, looked after again by Chelsea! After a couple of drinks we ordered our meal. The menu was not huge but very reasonably priced and, when it came, was absolutely delicious. After a quiet night’s sleep the breakfast was a buffet with good choice.
