We only stayed one night in London but we managed to get a room for just $150/night and we were very impressed. The hotel is great looking, the rooms were spaceous, clean, modern. GREAT shower power! Which is hard to come by in the UK it seems. The location was amazing... 1 block to trafalgar square, 10 minute walk to...

Stayed here for 4 nights over New Years Eve . The hotel is in an excellent location, a short stroll to Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, restaurants and theatres. We had a 'Studio' room which had a window over-looking an enclosed area within the building of the hotel with not really any natural daylight or fresh air. The air-con did not...

This was our second stay in this hotel, this time for 2 nights. The hotel and rooms are very clean with rooms that are a good size for a London hotel. The first night we were in a room at the front of the building by the road, living in the countryside we found the road noise so loud we...

One night to spend in London, we chose The Grand at Trafalgar Square because of location to Trafalgar square and other attractions. We had booked online from Canada 6 months ago and were quoted an excelent rate. We were given a complimentary upgrade on arrival without asking which was a nice touch. Not a great view I will admit but...

Stayed at Club Quarters The Grand At Trafalgar Square in February 2010. Loved this hotel. Difficult to find a hotel to accomodate 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfast not included in cost but fridge and micro wave in rooms and Tesco near by! Very conveniently located to theatre and restaurants. Great to have cool water available on each floor. Lovely...

We chose The Grand at Trafalgar Square initially because of it's location just metres from Trafalgar Square and it proved to be a good choice close to major attractions, theatres, restuarants etc. Staff were friendly and helpful and offered a room upgrade for 15 pounds on arrival which some of us accepeted (you get more room with a couch and...

Stayed one night for business and was pleasently suprised on the quality, cleanliness and service of the hotel. Its also in a fantastic location, just off Trafalger Square, and near 2 tube stations. Plus it has free WiFi in the rooms and a good desk and chair. My room on the 5th floor was quiet, with a comfy bed and...

Stayed in this hotel during a business trip. Great location, 1 minute from Trafalgar Square and the subway. The room was large and pleasant, with a comfortable desk, and best of all, there is a free wireless network in the hotel - something really convenient and unfortunately seldom available in hotels nowadays. Fast electronic check-in and check-out. The only average...

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

“Ask for one out the back, we were at the front of the hotel and as you would expect in CENTRAL London it was very noisy all night long”

“None as room facing street is not noisy.”

“The room was small but comfortable. Broken tiles on the bathroom floor, an extractor fan that didn't work and house keeping let it down slightly though. We had to ask for additional drinking glasses and the bins weren't emptied daily or the glasses washed - no big deal though we just did it our selves. We reported the extractor fan and were promised it would be fixed but it wasn't. ”

“We were offered a cheap upgrade to a studio room and took it. Probably worthwhile for a longer stay.”
