I agree with many of the other reviews - for location this place is unbeatable. Central to everything. My room, although small, was perfectly adequate for what I needed; basically somewhere to rest my head every night for a week. Could have been a bit claustrophobic for two people or if spending more time there. The "view" from the window...

I stayed here for one night in March 2009 with my partner. It was a lovely hotel with a very spacious room. Quick and efficient check-in. Great location for anyone wanting to explore London - 5 seconds from Trafalgar square. Fairly expensive, but can see why as the location is so perfect. 3 mins to Charing Cross station.

My story begins by stating that I made a reservation online (not via TripAdvisor) for The Grand Hotel at Trafalgar Square. This hotel is also known as Club Quarters at Trafalgar Square. Not a big thing, but I find it a bit deceptive to not just call it what it is: "Club Quarters at Trafalgar Square". Don't confuse the issue...

Friendly staff helped me with the electronic check in. Room was a nice size (especially for London) we had no trouble with outdoor noise, air conditioning was quiet too. very clean and modernly decorated. A staff member came to check that everything was ok and asked whether we needed anything too which was nice.

This was my third time staying in this hotel in four months and each time it gets better. Yes the check in and check out are self service, but once you get used to it, it is very efficient on return visits , as you don't have to queue for ages . It really makes things hassle free. The rooms...

Spent five nights in this London hotel (in Westminster) and loved my time there! We stayed in the Club Quarters part of the hotel, which is primarily used by business travellers, or at least it looked that way. The location was a bit touristy, but since I'm a tourist, I was totally cool with that. You really can't beat the...

Pros: - Location is really excellent. Less than 5 minutes from Trafalgar Square, Embankment tube (subway) and Charing Cross. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby, including a 24 hour supermarket just next door which is very useful especially if you are jetlagged. - Free wireless internet. Very few hotels in London offer this, most will charge you 20 pounds or...

We stayed at the Grand at Trafalgar. You can't beat the location. You are able to walk everywhere or, so it seemed, from this spot. You can visit the National Gallery or go to Covent Garden or the the Theater District, Pall Mall, or Downing Street. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is only average. Check-in and check-out is self service. You...

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

“None as room facing street is not noisy.”

“The room was small but comfortable. Broken tiles on the bathroom floor, an extractor fan that didn't work and house keeping let it down slightly though. We had to ask for additional drinking glasses and the bins weren't emptied daily or the glasses washed - no big deal though we just did it our selves. We reported the extractor fan and were promised it would be fixed but it wasn't. ”
