We wanted to stay in Notting Hill and this hotel was in a great location for us. A very short walking distance to Portobello Road and the many good restaurants and bars that are situated in that area . Our room was pleasant with everything we needed . We were on the first floor facing Ladbroke Grove for 2 nights... More

This establishment adds another level to Dante's Inferno. The good point about The Portobellohell Hotel is that it is spotlessly clean. There is one other point, which I will come to later. The hotel website misrepresents what you will get for the substantial amount you will pay to stay there: A Nespresso machine will be available but you will only... More

Dear Guest, Oh dear, you are very cross indeed because we would not give you the free stay you requested. So we were expecting this review. I will try to address the issues you raise. Firstly, we are really very sorry you did not enjoy your stay, but some things you mention are quite wrong, especially the safety issue. We... More

A great little hotel. Great staff, homely feel. It's like being a guest in someone's house but with a bar downstairs. Decor is 'shabby chic' but the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I loved it. The owner tries really hard to make you feel at home. And it works.

I stayed at The Portobello House for one night with my mother. On arrival we were greeted and helped with our bags. Our room was very clean and well equipped. There was some traffic noise but that is to be expected in London. The bistro downstairs seems popular and we did wonder whether we would hear noise in our room... More

This is a lovely hotel. Great value and location. Comfortable beds and very clean. Lovely decor and really friendly staff. However I can't give it more than three stars because I had a room facing Ladbrooke Grove and it is the noisiest room I have ever stayed in ( beats even New York) and I'm on the top floor. I... My daughter (22) and I stayed here two nights at the beginning or our 3 week trip to England. It was a great location steps from the famous Portobello Market, great restaurants, and the tube. I like to be near locals and away from tourists when I travel and this was perfect. The room was clean, comfortable and all that... More

Great location, nice receptionist, beautifully appointed, clean, nespresso machine in the room, trendy bustling bar. All in all a wonderful charming hotel.. The meal for two we had at beach blanket babylon nearby cost more than this value for money experience! I loved it and have found a new favourite place for my London excursions... Do not overlook this when... More

It's already several times that I come to stay in this hotel. Mostly all the times when I travel to London for my personal or business trips. I can totally recommend this hotel, because the people working in there is just amazing, so sweet and always helpful. I like it, because its not to big and really cosy. The rooms... More

This small but very charming boutique hotel with only 12 nicely decorated rooms is in the middle of the colorful Notting Hill area. The Hotel restaurant has equally been great for lunch, coffee or drinks. Only the breakfast was slightly less than expected - however good. It was a great value for money, fantastic experience which we will come back... More
