PROS: 4 tube stations far from Oxford Circus, close to two tube stations (Queensway & Bayswater). Recently renovated and clean fully equiped apartments, Nice TV and satellite. CONS: Number 4 room (low value number) at top floor!! This means 66 narrow stair-steps to ascend (hard especially when getting in with your heavy travel baggages). No lift. No air-conditioning (only some...

My boyfriend and I had a negative stay at Hyde Park Suites. We stayed in these apartments for nearly a month when we moved to London this year. When we arrived there we had to walk a block to their office to pick up the key, which was a bit of a pain. But that was just the beginning. Their...

Our stay at this location was beyond our initial expectation. An excellent rate for London was offered for a week's accommodation with warnings that you get for what you pay. Our experience was most satisfying. It was conveniently located near Queensway and all transport - use oyster card. The studio was well equipped, roomy, modern and clean. In spite of...

Just returned from 7 and 7 in London, booked a studio with a kitchen in the Hyde Park Suites, Inverness #15. First off the location is great if you like to walk to see London. From Inverness and Bayswater you are roughly 4 miles from Westminster, about 3 from the British Museum. We took advantage of this and walked everywhere,...

For this hotel you get what you pay for; nothing is extravagant, but everything is comfortable. The location is incredible--maybe a 3 minute walk to the Queensway and Bayswater underground lines, which was convenient. Also, it is right next to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and a short walk to many other sites. There are several grocery stores nearby. Our apartment...

We stayed in the Triple Studio in Bldg 79. It was super close to Bayswater and Queensway tube station - max 5 min walk to each. It was also close to Paddington which we used a few times to take day trips via National Rail to Bath & Windsor. Very close to the city - short ride on the tube...

Me and my girlfriend stayed at hyde park suites in early january. We had stayed at their newest building which had a facinating design. Newly refurbished with equipted kitchen. The apartment is serviced every week, towels are also provided. The friendly environment is really great and the willingness of staffs makes your stay comfortable. The location is great, you can...

Well, the reviews here were pretty accurate, you get what you pay for. I stayed here for 3 weeks in September in the new building at 30 Inverness Terrace. I was initially booked into flat 9, one flight up. There's no workspace or chairs in the room, just a bed, so if you want to read (or do work), you...

Having just read thru all the different reviews I just found about Hyde Park Suites I wish to add my own as the rest of them took me a bit by surprise. I just stayed at their place and it was great! None of the things written about them were actually true (which kinda makes me wonder how reliable Trip...

I was doing a course down in London for a month and didn't mind slumming it, as long as I had my own space (i.e. not a hostel but any level above that would do). This was about the cheapest 'own flat' option available that I could find via web searches, so I wasn't surprised to find that the studio...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
