The hotel is very close to Marble Arch and Oxford Street and therefor very well located. The rooms are small, somewhat dated but clean. Breakfast is excellent. The staff is friendly. Great stay for a trip to London.

This is a cute lil boutique Georgian Style London hotel. I had a great experience with a comfy big bed, clean bathroom and relatively quiet at night. Nice living room type setup in the lounge. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast room is clean, variety of foods cold to hot. Fresh juice would be a big plus. The elevator...

Close to Marble Arch and Hyde Park. Easy access to buses and Tube. We had a spacious room on the second floor overlooking the street that was quiet. Breakfast facilities are a bit cramped. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms but available free on order with room service including an early morning cuppa.

The Sumner is a small boutique hotel just on the right side of the Edgware Rd to get into a nicer area and make Marylebone and other central areas walkable for dinner. We booked a standard twin room, which was on the small side (but normal for London) and a reasonable standard, very well cleaned. Overall for what we paid...

A friend and I stayed at the Sumner for a two night trip to London. It is a wonderful local hotel in the Marble Arch area and it quite honestly exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. We arrived very early but they were able to put a room together for us within 10 minutes. We had two twin beds...

Just returned from a weekend at The Sumner, very enjoyable stay, nice room with lovely extras. Lovely breakfast served in the basement, with friendly staff. My only niggle was there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but apart from that, great stay.

The hotel is well positioned just a short walk to Hyde Park and Oxford Street. The lounge area is really lovely and the free coffee and snacks is a nice touch. Breakfast was varied and tasty. I really enjoyed my stay here.

I got stuck in one of the basement rooms, which is by the breakfast room. I note this upfront because I think a large part of my problems would not have existed in a higher floor room. The bad: early morning noise from people going to/from breakfast room, noise of people walking above in the lounge area (zero rugs on...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
